she's a stand in for death, you've passed the level when she appears, i also made it so she teleports to you if you ever actually kill her

need to open the central room on the 1st floor first, 3 notes are scattered about the mansion which you can figure out the code with

you get the candle in the room thats welded shut in the basement by going under the bar, if you count the tiles from the wall in that room it the ladder is under the left side of the bar, (you have to examine it from the right)

you get the minotaur chasing you and lure it into the masher in the room in the top right for the 5th soul

did you get the candle in the garden between the barn and house?

i never thought of anything to put behind it :3
