I'm glad you had fun! I had a lot of fun creating it. And thanks for playing all the way to the end, I think I'm most proud of take 10 so glad you could experience the dream level!

Thank you glad you liked it! I spent most of the time this Jam creating the maps and art for the game, and I saved some time by recycling assets from my own game from a pervious game Jam. (mostly for the animation of the enemies and some textures)  I'd love to credit for the controls but I used an existing engine where you can make wolf3d style games

Great pixel art and satisfying game play, well done!

For anyone else confused its WASD to move, and E to collect candy at the doors.

Very good pixel art and old school music! I loved the theme, I only wish I could see more of the game, I had to give up part way through level 2 after seeing game over about 70 times. Most of those game overs I felt I didn't earn, like I would tap left to adjust for a jump and my character would hurl themselves into a pit. when I finished level 1 I felt more lucky then accomplished. Maybe adding in more checkpoints or tighter controls as an easy mode? I did play it much longer then I thought because its charming spooky fun. Great use of the sacrifice theme!

Sorry you had trouble at take 3. You have to grab a ticket at the ticket booth to see the movie, it should be between the door of the theater and the ticket booth at the start of any of the levels in the theater. In the non theater levels I try and place the ticket in a place you have to walk over after the danger is over. It's a requirement of the game engine I used that you need a key to exit the level so I made a movie ticket the key. Also the pop corn is the only way to heal your health and is always available in the lobby. (with some hidden in the later levels for balance). Thanks for playing my game!

Thanks for the recorded playthough! it was great to see someone else play through the levels after I had playtested them myself over and over.

haha I had to look up anti-aesthetic and I think you're spot on. I was going for more sureal and silly but it did ended up taking on a more grotesque look when the pictures were shrunken down and imported into the engine. Thanks for playing my game!

your game was a hilarious and welcome pallet cleanser after I played a bunch of tense and scary games from the E1M1 jam. that song is now stuck in my head. Too funny!

I loved the art style of your game especially the tonal switch from first level to the rest, had great pacing, and great idea for a tutorial level. my only complaint is I would have liked to play it full screen.
