For those who want to work on the game past NaGaDeMon, is a separate entry on their Itch io library requred, or any sort of distinction? I don't mind keeping a "NaGaDeMon2021 version" entry on my game's download page, if that's what it takes. I just want to play it safe by asking; so no one comes to my game, tries a much later version, and erroneously thinks, "Wow they got all this done in a month?"

Characters with Cards:
Gmorf the Goblin: Meat 6, Speed 6, Brains 6, Charm 6, Max Health 24
- The everygoblin and average character. Ideal for starting out with and learning the game.
- Can typically use any weapon and treasure card.
- Unique ability: Scrappy: In an event where Gmorf would be defeated and die from an event, he can revive with full health and the event is considered cleared. However, he does not receive any treasure associated with the event.
Charactersi n Development:
Grug the Gorilla:
Germain the Witch / Wizard:
Gerby the Rogue:
Stats Explained:
Meat: The physical strength and armor of the character. It’s like a mix of strength and Constitution in Dungeons & Dragons.
Speed: The physical speed and reaction of the character. It’s like Dexterity or Agility in various RPGs.
Brains: The intelligence and problem-solving ability of the character. It’s like Intelligence and Magic in various RPGs.
Charm: The persuasion ability of the character. It’s like Charisma in Dungeons & Dragons.
Health: The maximum health of the character. It typically ranges between three-times to four-times the character’s Meat stat.
Challenge Types (Main-Type):
- Fight: Simply a creature to fight, unless a peaceful victory or alternate solution is noted.
- Miniboss: Has higher stats, and typically offers Treasure Cards upon defeat.
- Boss: A much more dangerous creature, typically with even higher stats and special abilities. Typically drops even more Treasure cards upon defeat. Defeating a Boss will grant the option to “clear” the dungeon and complete the session.
- Obstacle: A challenge which should not require combat, but has other requirements.
- Fortune: A typically beneficial situation that has no challenge or minimal challenge.
Challenge Types (Sub-Type):
- Humanoid: Nothing special yet.
- Goblin: Nothing Special yet.
- Ogre: Typically has high Meat, and health near-equal to twice its Meat.
- If the high Meat ogre still had 3x – 4x Health, that would probably be too much.
- Undead: Can be instantly defeated with Holy Item, unless otherwise noted.
- Beast: Can be instantly, peacefully cleared or bribed, with Meat to Eat.
- Trap / Artificial: Can be instantly defeated (peacefully cleared?) with Enervating Magic Pulse.
- Plant: Takes double damage from Fire attacks, unless otherwise noted.
- Optional: Exactly what it says. Room can be bypassed and “cleared” without gaining loot if desired.
In order to add some variety and give the player character more of an edge, I want to add equipment cards for weapons with various dice rolls, preset bonuses, and other useful bonuses. In a generic fantasy setting, I know there tend to be a dagger, a one-handed sword, a two-handed sword, a battleaxe, a mace, a bow, and a magic wand. I am thinking of some things along the lines as follows. For now, these dice rolls would take the place of a plain 2d6 + Meat / Speed / Brains. Please let me know what you think of this variety and these numbers; and suggest any special weapons you would like to see in action.
Dagger | 1d6 + Meat or Speed + 2 | +2 to Dodge (like a parry) |
Short Sword | 2d6 + Meat or Speed | +3 to Block |
Axe | 2d6 + Meat or Speed + 3
Mace | 2d6 + Meat or Speed | + 3 to Block |
Shortbow | 1d6 + 3 | +4 to Dodge |
Throwing Knives | 2d6 | +4 to Dodge |
Fire Wand | 1d6 + Brains + 3
Ice Wand | 1d6 + Brains | +3 to Block |
Shock Wand | 1d6 + Brains + 1 | +2 to Dodge |
