that's correct, but it can be saved locally as a PWA ("Download as App" or "Save to Home Screen" on most browsers)

available now :)

hey, I'm sorry -- I don't know why itch didn't send me a notification for this, but I will push out a change ASAP to make that verification link always visible

Not yet, I'm working on overhauling the whole GM/NPC side of the app, and when finished it'll include an Eidolon builder

The next C/C update will include a pilot-side exotics manager and a (default on) option to hide exotics from the compendium. You'll still be on the honor system in a sense, but players won't spoil content by accident

It still is -- I built a messaging service into COMP/CON now so that if I have update info you'll be able to see it in-app instead of having to come here. I'll still post major update notifications here (2.2 -> 2.3, 2->3, etc)

Unfortunately, yes. I sent out a project update a while ago, but unfortunately I don't have the time or resources to support a desktop version and still be able to add all the features I want within a reasonable timeframe. Later in the project I might take a look at adding desktop support back in

Hi KiraNisal,

The Long Rim data is available here: https://massif-press.itch.io/the-long-rim
I'll make sure official Massif releases have their LCPs at the time of release, but if you want to check out some preview data, swing by the #compcon-homebrew channel in the discord.

you can export pilots via cloud ID. If you need more pulled over please hop on the discord and ping @beeftime

hey Corvys,
Yeah this is something I've run in to as well and I can't quite determine the source of the issue -- it seems to be a little different depending on browser and (for some reason) OS. Something about the margin calculations, I think, but I'm not sure.

I'm planning on incorporating a PDF renderer in the near future and reworking the print feature to just print to a PDF that should render the exact same regardless of browser or system. Not sure on an ETA yet, but it's definitely in the queue.

I think maybe they misread the detail -- UNCLE is restricted on Superheavy mounts, not required.

That was an error, and it's been corrected -- download the PDF again and you should see that the Atlas now has the correct mounts.

Hi CaptainScrambles -- that's a known issue with the standalone app. I'm working on a fix, but in the meantime please consider using the webapp instead.

Thank you! Would it be possible to contact me at one of the services I mentioned in the footnote? That way I can be sure to get you the perk info when I've got it sorted out

good call -- thank you!

please check the v2 update post for instructions: https://massif-press.itch.io/compcon/devlog/122156/compcon-version-20-launch

COMP/CON uses localstorage in the browser, so if you're doing something that impairs that (incognito mode, for instance) c/c won't be able to save

Thanks!
The web app will save all your data to localstorage as you make changes, and that'll be preserved as long as you don't clear the site data. Also, the site will work offline -- it's a PWA so it can be saved to your desktop/home screen

Otherwise, yeah, importing/exporting is probably the way to go. You can import/export all data at once via the tools in the options menu.

Like I said in the dev log,  Electron apps will be coming to this itch.io page very soon. On iOS/Catalina specifically there are new roadblocks to producing and releasing a working Electron app so it's going to take more time.

In the meantime, though, the web app will work offline, and also the app can be saved to desktop/homescreen as a PWA

are you on compcon.app

v2 is only out for the web app, and you can get the npc data on the core book download page. Check out the dev log above

try following these steps for your browser: https://fabricdigital.co.nz/blog/how-to-hard-refresh-your-browser-and-clear-cache

1.5 is no longer being served by our netlify host so there's nothing we can do on our end

On the Core Book itch.io download page there is a .LCP file you can download containing the data

There's an issue with running COMP/CON (and all non-apple-certified electron apps in general) in OSX Catalina. I've heard of some workarounds (search run electron app catalina) but I'd suggest trying the web-based version at https://compcon.app.

I'm ~80% done with C/C version 2, and once that work's done, I'll work on getting the app running without warnings on OSX

yep! I'm currently working on a huge UI overhaul (and, soon after, a ton of new features) which will also include the official release data. If you swing by the official Lancer discord, I post updates in the #comp-con channel several times a week.

Hey!

Originally the plan was to get mobile and tablet apps out for iOS and Android, but for a few reasons, we're now looking to serve it as a webapp accessible to anyone with a browser. We'll get started on this sometime after v2 is released (Dec-Jan, is by best guess). I'll post updates here, as well as on my twitter account (@jarena2)

Hi senecajr,

Getting to the hangar without a pilot loaded is an oversight, and will be prevented in a future release. COMP/CON does not allow for mechs to be created independently of pilots (per Lancer, mechs are mechanically and conceptually part of the character). If you're a GM wanting to streamline your players' first session, I'd recommend making a level 0 pilot yourself, entering their mech hangar via the dropdown on the top navigation bar, and making and exporting the mechs you make there.

In the future, COMP/CON will gain an option to load a prequipped starter Everest based on a few different templates.

Not as far as I know. However, if the KS breaks 400k, I'll be adding it in as an official mech in the next update.

oh sorry, I should have made a comment in this thread -- as of the last version, the Long Rim mechs have been pulled in to the core data. Now that C/C is official, from here on out the only stuff that won't be in the core data will be either homebrew stuff, or, separate future expansions/modules

You're getting a false positive from your antivirus -- at no point does Comp/Con interact with word documents (nor does it even have the ability). Check your antivirus to see if it blocks clipboard copy (which is somewhat common)

If you're skeptical, you can see (and build from) the full source here: https://github.com/massif-press/compcon

It's intentional - complex pilot gear was simplified way down in LANCER 1.8.5, and will be this way for the core book release. IIRC Tom and Miguel have said that more complex pilot gear rules (including rarity, &c) will probably come back as a future expansion/module, and if that's the case, COMP/CON will update along with the official release (likely as a toggleable module)

You can download the 'compcon-ks-content.zip' file from the app page, extract it somewhere, then open COMP/CON > OPTIONS in the top nav bar > Import content package and select the extracted folder.

After that, you'll get a little toggle to turn on the long rim mechs

It's a little convoluted, and they're missing art, but there's an incoming rework to better accommodate expansion packages

C/C is a vue.js app that uses the Vuetify UI framework. It's built and distributed as an electron executable. The IDE I use (for this and pretty much everything) is VSCode
