Hey there!

I write and draw comics that are set in a shared universe. I've got various maps and notes that I've accumulated that sort of help them interconnect a bit, but really want to take it to the next level.

I'd like to create a 3D walkaround environment where I can draw shop fronts, brick walls, tables, chairs, arcade machines, shoppers etc in photoshop, and implement them directly on a simple to use map.

I used to make Doom Levels as a teenager - so a 2D interface like WAD AUTHOR where I just upload images to go on walls, with 2D sprites would be ideal .

I've also used things like this - https://www.artsteps.com/embed/5f65254767469d022bce77bd/1280/720 which are a bit clunky but get the job done.

Games like this seems to do what I'm after - https://grey2scale.itch.io/pet-the-pup, which I'm aware was done in Unity.

Is there a platform, app or easy to use resource that would be appropriate?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Ben
