Thank you 😊

What is the goal of this game? I think it’s certainly got some stuff going on. I think the concept is solid, but I challenge you to consider a full game loop in the future projects. For example with this game if you could do this trying to get as much as possible before say a flood on the left side fills up the cave. Or any small thing that creates a finished loop. I’d say you have all of the pieces but it’s just put together in a way that makes it not quite where you want it. I like the guy and I like the concept of purchasing upgrades, that was wonderful. the sound effect was cool in the beginning but it got tiring quickly.

You’re definitely on the right track. I’d love to watch your progress. Good job finishing a game for the jam, that is always a good thing.

I appreciate your feedback and thanks for playing

Forgot to reply to your comment about the music, It was a sample split up and reorganized for the guitar. for the brass it is sampled into a sampler and then sequenced using midi, the rhodes are midi.

I appreciate the feedback on the controls. I think the issue you’re running into is, you don’t need to hold down into the wall to slide. As soon as you start sliding, you will slide indefinitely. You can simply time your jump and will connect to another wall if it is there. That was easier for the kids playing my game, so I removed the need for using the directional input at all while wall jumping. When I revisit the controls, I will remove pressing away from the wall as the way off, only allow jumping or a predefined exit button.

The jumps in order are, jumping into the wall, jumping into the wall while holding left and then releasing on contact, jumping into the wall while holding and continuing to hold, jumping from the wall with only pressing jump, jumping from the wall while pressing jump and right, jumping from the wall while pressing jump and left (2x), and then jumping from the wall while holding the jump button.

I played this for a long, long time. at some point I reached stasis between about 60 and 65 frogs. So that’s my skill limit. lol. Very fun, easy 5 star

Thank you for your kind words and feedback. I’m glad you stuck with it to get past the wall jumping! I am excited to continue working on this project after the jam.

I appreciate your feedback! It was actually a split (last) second decision to make space bar be jump, so now I know. Thank you. And I’m glad you enjoyed the comedy.

Thank you for playing this! And that elevator shaft was giving me the business too, I probably need to make that a bit more forgiving. Lol. I had to do it for the frog gang!

Very fun, taking me back to my lemmings days. I liked the music a lot, and the ending did catch me off guard! Please play, rate, and give feedback on my game as well if you have a chance! Thanks

This is a very cool showing of your abilities. Would love some feedback on my game as well if you have a chance

Cute game, pretty hard overall, but simple to understand.

I was missing something very simple. The game is pretty challenging, but addictive once I understood how to fling myself. I think this game has potential to be a full release. I would also appreciate some feedback on my game!

The S rank for Shredded! It was only able to happen because your game (the first non AAA game to do this) actually used the rhythm and not just the visual indicator. Thank you! 5- stars! Please rate my game

BAH NAH NAH Loved this game. Please give mine a play when you have a chance!

Since we’ve both done frog games, would love to hear your feedback on mine. On yours, I was stuck on the very first level, as I was too big to pass through a space in the wall.

I enjoyed the banana commentary. The game was also pretty fun and well thought out. Please give my game a try too.

I must be inept, because I couldn’t get passed the enter username on the main menu. I’ll actually play it if that truly is just me missing something very simple.

It was a pretty good game overall. The mechanics were not bad and the sounds were decent.

This game was very well put together especially given the timeframe. I enjoyed it wholly.

Thank you for playing, I appreciate the feedback! I have, thanks to your feedback and a few others, tweaked the game to include not being held in place for as long. It was, for the jam, until the survivor is off screen. Now it’s just .75 seconds and then we’re back. Maybe even that is too long

I appreciate you taking time to play the game! I really want to expand it, so I’ll make sure I return here and give you an update.

Thank you! I appreciate your feedback. I am really looking for this balance advice too, as I want that feeling of accomplishment from completing a longer level, but the sense of progression of the shorter segments. I believe you and several others have pointed out a few ways to make that happen that will allow the time system to still make sense. Thanks for playing

I tweaked the walljumping to what it is now based on watching kids play. It was easier for them to not have to change direction at all while wall jumping so that’s how it exists. If you try it again, see if it’s easier for you if you DON’T try to change directions. lol. We’re used to working harder.

Had a really fun time with this overall! I think the use of theme was wonderfully executed and the challenge scaled appropriately. I enjoyed the music and the sfx were good!

Lol, that would’ve been stellar! Maybe a great idea for the next one. Thanks for playing

A very, very great entry. I had a lot of fun and would love to play an entire full scale game made with most of these ideas.

I appreciate your feedback! Thanks for playing

I stopped in because we both used frogs! I stayed because it was fun and we both used our voices in the sounds! Nice job

Controls really held you back on this one. It was fun conceptually, and would’ve been worth playing a few times, but the controls themselves are frustrating.

Really good presentation, unfortunately I just don’t understand what I should be doing

I didn’t really understand what I was doing, but it is nice visually and the sound is nice.

I like the look a lot, so that is strong, I wasn’t a fan of the volume of the music compared to the sfx also, but it is still a solid entry

What a wonderful concept. holy crap good job

Easily one of the best games I’ve played so far, if not the best. If you’re wanting improvement feedback, just the voiceover, and possibly adding more by way of that, to egg the player on or keep engaged, but it’s not needed, just a nice touch. The puzzles were super smart, and I played the whole thing. Well done.

It is a very interesting use of the game theme and a great concept. The art needs to stand out a bit against the bg, but otherwise pretty good. I got stuck on level 9, the solution wasn’t clear.

Hell yeah! that’s exactly what I was going for. Thank you

I appreciate the feedback, I mentioned in another comment, this is the main area I was struggling with, but for the future, I did find a really good way to make it easier, while still keeping the challenge. Thank you for playing!

If you decide to turn this into a mobile game, which I do highly recommend, just tailor that to each game. I’d put the next or submit button down by the input for the arrows on that one, and for things like the weight balance and the piano, just move on when it’s right. either way, super fun game.

image.png Came back for another round. It is really so fun.
