I found a solution for my problem here: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=101304. They sent me to Federico Dossena's Mesa3D for Windows (here: https://fdossena.com/?p=mesa/index.frag) and had me place the dll in the same directory as strive. It now runs normally.

I am also getting this error with a virtual box vm of Windows Server 2019. (I keep games like this off of the main section of the computer). Does anyone know how to resolve this?
