I came across most of your issues several times and I was able to fix first one by heating the head again. The bug with shields seems to be a common issue here (it's always smt about the shields) and it happens with all types of them. But your furnace issue is new, make sure you press HEAT before SMELT

Issue: Incorrect resource use when smelting allows
E.g. smelting bronze
Steps:
1. Put 2 Copper ingots and 2 Tiningots in smelter
2. Choose 1 Bronze ingots in output
3. Heat and smelt
Result: got 1 Bronze ingot, smelter used only 2 Copper ingots, 2 Tin ingots are still present. Not sure if order matters
Issue: Smelter takes up to 2 material pieces, but outputs whatever amount was entered
Say, you put 10 ore chunks in smelter and try to heat up and smelt all 10 of them.
Smelting progress shows -8 / 1 Smelting %
After smelting is done you have 8 ore chunks inside and 10 ingots of output.
Works fine if you smelt no more than 2 at a time
Got an issue with customers not accepting weapons.
So for example:
Customer wants a (Non specified metal) One Hand hammer with Uncommon Grip and Morning Star Head.
I offer him a requested weapon made of Mythril (as it's best I can afford now), but he doesn't accept it.
Had this issue 3 times with different weapons, but the common is
- Non specified metal
- One handed
- Uncommon grip
- Special request
Note that if a customer doesn't specify metal (like "I need Great Sword") he accepts weapon made of ANY metal under Mythril and including it.
P.S. As I checked forum a bit, it seems like they might have requested alloys? In that case, as they accept Mythril, they must have requested Steel when no metal type given.
