There's no artist. I generated it via AI for the prototype. As it gets closer to release I plan to make a full pdf and commission a real artist to draw art for the entire project.

Eden Aeterna is a system inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem, XCOM, Suikoden, and all of the classic TTRPG systems. I've been working on it since 2015, but really picked up the work in 2019. Nearly 40 classes, 300 pages, and I still feel like I'm hardly close to finishing it.
I've come to itch.io to get some feedback outside of my personal testing community. I want to make my game better, and I need your thoughts! If you like TTRPGs, mixing classes to create a unique character build, or any of the games I mentioned, please give this a download!
If you have any inconsistencies you find in the work, just let me know here. Post the page # in which you found it, and a copy+paste of like three words in order so I can ctrl+f it with ease.
Let me know any confusions you have about the text inconsistencies so I can better re-write it.
Also, if you find any sections just badly written, shout out those in the same way, along with suggestions on improvement. Thank you!
Hello! First post here in the community centre, I wanted to focus on how we could easily discuss feedback. Mostly I'm considering ways to make sure everyone is on the same page (literally!).
For feedback items, please let us know what chapter and specific mechanic you're referring to so we can easily jump to it. I personally use an indexed Google Doc to do most of my work. If anyone else has any suggestions on 'proper' feedback format let me know.
Also worth noting- this project has uh, been in the works for around 8 years as of this post. It's messy and has changed a fair bit since it first began. Before calling out an inconsistency, please do a quick search to see if it's been called out anywhere else. Or maybe I should start a global thread for inconsistencies in the text...
Hmm. That might just be the best way to handle it. Going to spin one of those up now.
With all that aside, lend me your energy! Let me know what you love, hate, what you think could be improved, and what you think is completely unnecessary. :D
Good day everyone!
My name's Bee. This is my first post here. I grew up with TTRPGs as my family were nerds from the 70s/80s. I don't know what system I first started on but I've dipped around many. AD&D to 5E, Call of Cthulhu, FFG Star Wars, Ryuutama, Shadowrun, GURPS, Savage Worlds, 7th Sea, and many more. I've played for decades now and I still love the hobby just as much as when I began.
I've been working on a system since around 2015, so almost 10 years. Initially it was kind of a side-project as I played other campaigns, but I began to fully immerse myself in the creative process around 2019 and it's taken off considerably since then. I'm currently playtesting it with my local crew, but I thought I'd start trying to find a way to get feedback on a larger scale. I thought itch.io might be a good place to do so! So I'm looking for advice on how I can better it, even if only one other person ever plays it. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!
