Copy the save files and paste them into the 'saves' folder on your mac. I don't have a macbook so I have no clue if this works, but this is how I did it from PC to PC

Copy the saves file and paste it in the newer version. The location is the same with all versions.

The android version crashes for a lot of people, from what I've seen from their comments they're working on it but you'll be better of trying to download it for PC/mac.
