hello beth and angel! I put the submission date in my personal calendar incorrectly (thought it was today) so missed the deadline. is there any way I can have my entry included?

here is the link: https://bumblechub.itch.io/gross-jobs-to-save-the-world-minizine

thank you!

this game was so cute and fun! every piece I made I realized a new mechanic - paint mixing, fiddling with the kiln, etc. agree with a previous commenter that I couldn't for the life of me see what shape the white pots were. even holding my computer directly next to my eyeballs I couldn't tell, the paper and pot colors were too similar. I like the background music, I like the animation of the character walking! I wish my patrons would leave me reviews in a few words :) Thanks for making this!

I just played the demo on my phone and was blown away, can't imagine how much cooler this is going to get!!!

it's super aesthetic, rose! love it!

this game was really relaxing, with good music, characters, sounds, and gameplay. perfect autumn jam!!

I love the satisfying sounds, and the effervescent art - I made it down to two levels but couldn't make it past that. still a really fun game!

this game was really cute and fun! thanks for making it!

this was fun and easy to play!! thank you!

A fun and cute game! My favorite was (no spoilers) one related to an insect!

thank yoooooou!!!

I can't catch the fairies no matter how hard I try :( do you have any more hints for me?

The soundtrack is really light and cute! Your parent (mom, maybe?) continuously misgendering the player causes discordant, cringe-inducing notes through what would otherwise be a cheerful, nostalgic game.  Treading through memories while trans can feel like that. I recommend this to anyone who likes small, indie games!

Why did you name the ikea knockoff "Kikea"? It's uncomfortably close to the ethnic slur "k*ke".

the concept for the Ratchelor is airtight, and, me and my friends were wondering if a squeakquel might have a different, more polyamorous approach? just our hopes & dreams for your consideration :)

this is the best game of 2021. yes, I know it's February. no, I won't change my mind (unless y'all release a ratchelor 2).

What a super cute game! I liked the facts about each of the objects, especially the sword fence. I'm glad Olivia told me to look at a specific sword otherwise I would have never found the metal...! Another note is that on the original screen I did try to get to a new screen by going to the southwest corner via the green strip along the west and south sides. Blocking that off would have saved me some time! I also did not understand why Marceline and Bubblegum were there, but appreciated their presence!

This game does summarize the artistic experience. Each ending was so cheeky and cute!! I actually loved the procrastination part most, it felt very meditative with the clouds. I also loved the audio (both words and music!). I hope Posey has more adventures soon!

I loved being an emo salamander! And I love that most of the growing up took place on the computer, lol. I can relate.

Love the stomach mechanic even though it was really hard (I'm just not good at games lol)! I appreciate the gender sliders but I would've appreciated it as a graph or color spectrum instead!

Overall a fantastically cute little game, loved the sounds and the drawing and the writing and that I got infinite chances!!

This game is fun!! When I accidentally propelled my little slice off a cliff, I felt the same sadness one might feel when you drop your own slice of pizza on the floor at a party...The joy of reuniting my triangle child with its bretheren was very satisfying. Love the sound effects too! The ramps gave me almost a super monkey ball vibe? great work!

this game is fun!!! love that I can save a gif of my progress afterwards. and the sound effects are what make it unique, I would never mute them!!

We love a gaggle of polyam GFs! I had a few issues where the text didn't really seem to make sense, or it started in a weird place without context which made the game hard to understand. Other than that, cute soundtrack, even cuter drawings and characters!

This was fun! Love that it seems to be rhythm based - agree that it was a little difficult to play on browser, but I'm chalking that up to my lack of skill.

oh dear :( it looks like I did not a great job of raising dolores :( at least she looks really cool! I love this game and will definitely recommend it to friends who need to giggle and de-stress.

this was a really poignant little game. I love the mechanic. I got lost in the memories, sometimes. I love the way the background lights up. I wonder if I hit the stag at another time if I would've had another ending?

this game is fun but I almost didn't get to play  it because I had the "baby" on the title screen one block right instead of aligned left. I kept clicking enter and double clicking, etc, but couldn't figure it out for the longest time XD my partner had to save me. that being said, the mechanic is fun and innovative! I love it!

the cat shaped void has welcome to nightvale vibes, which I love; this is a relatable experience gamified and I love it. I wish there was a little song to go with it.

My only critique is related to gameplay on Android. You have the option to "skip" dialogue on playthroughs past your first. Sometimes when I clicked "skip" it ZOOMED through the dialogue so fast I couldn't even stop it if I wanted to. There's also no option to go back in case I had entirely missed what I had skipped. I wish there was like, an undo button? But just for the skipping. And when it did pause to let me pick who to spend the day with, there wasn't an "off" function for the skipping. So it would zoom through the next even if I wanted to reread a section.

Spoilers below!

My favorite ending (surprisingly?) was the ending where I spent all my time with the Lady. I liked having a nonromantic, nonfamilial option to forge a new relationship. My next fave was the ending where I got to have TWO boyfriends. Polyamory representation in games, in media, in wherever is nonexistent. This made me feel seen, just by having this option. I think the "single minded" ending is what really broke my heart, but also taught me an important lesson. You can't just neglect your other friends when you're pursuing a love interest without serious repercussions. Friends as just as important as romantic partners.

The extra content, the multiple other stories, I think, were also really important to me understanding the characters. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite extra story. It almost feels as if they should be it a second novel, not just bonus content that people might feel is optional to read. I think in order of importance it's Mom comes for a visit, Dad and the Lady learn of the boy's relationship, the trio discuss their childhood, horror movie night, and private moment. It's not that private moment isn't juicy!! It's just not as integral to my understanding of the plot...The bonus content you can buy is also highly recommended - aka the art books, both SFW and NSFW.

Other bits I love:
How the "talking" sound bits are different for Tomai, Malik, and Burdoc.
The art! both characters and backgrounds!
The dreams!
Realistic family interactions with incredible depth!
The setting! I would love more stories in this world!

A very cute game! I wish I got a more in depth read of why I got my score. For example, for the computer programmer, is there a way to quickly get a perfect score by deleting everything EXCEPT what he explicitly said he likes? Does Mary only make a comment on what I did when I did something wrong? Does moving things to different rooms or rotating them really make a difference?

I don't experience asexuality, but have many friends and partners that do. I think this is a great game / think space for the reasons asexual folks might choose to have sex. It makes me wonder what a companion game about reasons to not have sex would look like. Thank you!

What a lovely game! I love the emphasis of "they". They who are lost, they who watch, they who laugh in hatred, and, finally, they who welcome the survivor into death. The descent of the survivor into madness chronicled through notes in a bottle is very interesting too.

Some comments -

  • In the first scene, I find it odd that I can walk up the walls of the room.
  • The text in the bottle - It says "we did not not listen". Unsure if this is a typo, because if it isn't, it changes the meaning in an interesting way.
  • Love the way the text shakes and waves
  • I love how the color palette changes with each day.

I'm not sure how to interpret the ending, of me getting into the raft. But it does make me think.

Thank you for this well made game!

this game is adorable and well made! I love playing as a friendly monster just trying to help out my boat friends! I also love the mechanic of trying to do so just with my big ol' dino head.

this game is hilarious and impossible!! thank you so much for making it!

this is speckleyeen the hyena queen

this game is ADORABLE but I want a hundred more options! most of all I want my yeen to be able to smile!

I keep an eye on and save all the new, free to play browser games that come out on itch.io! then I go back and play them when I have time!

super cute game with a cute message and great music!

cute game with a cute message!

It made me ask the essential question....if I wait long enough, will she come?

...And, can I light the person next to me on fire with this candle?

I LOVE FROG!
