It's only confirmed Windows 10 compatible as of currently

Most indie Games show some kind of Pop-Up when being installed, even older Game Engines like Unity 2017.7-2018 did. Most of the time, they're completely safe.

You can try downloading UTM and emulating Windows on it at https://mac.getutm.app/ 

Other options include VMWare Fusion at https://blogs.vmware.com/teamfusion/2024/05/

And even paid software like Parallels Desktop at https://www.parallels.com/de/products/

If you're more of an advanced User, you can try using Wine or Box68
