Sorry about the EXTREMELY late reply! I've been busy with other things and haven't had the chance to check itch in a while!

How the upgrade progression works is that the next upgrade is unlocked after the previous one was purchased for the first time. The name tag says it does nothing because it doesn't have an actual effect (it's just cosmetic), but since it's an upgrade, it unlocks the next upgrade.

Sorry if my explanation is a bit incoherent. Looking back on it, the name tag's description is definitely misleading!

Thanks for the offer and I'm glad you enjoyed the game! It's still very early in development and my first large scale project. I'm not super interested in translations right now, but I'll keep you in mind if I'm interested later down the line.

Defenders of Cardom

Defenders of Cardom is a tower defense game mixed with deck builder elements! Place down hero cards to attack enemies, use enchantment cards to upgrade heroes, and spell cards to temporarily help defend. Currently there's a downloadable Windows version and a web version, but it's recommended to be played on the downloadable version.

I'm going to continue updating the demo for the time being. The game is still somewhat early in development, so feedback (especially for bugs or balancing) is greatly appreciated.

Absolutely loved the sprite work! Movement is tricky to get used to but feels pretty good after a couple minutes, but the jump strength is a bit hard to gauge if it isn't fully charged

The same one that a can of cat food can cost a couple billion dollars

Super sorry about that! It should be fixed now, if it's not please let me know.
