Im really curious about how you made your header image be animated for so long (almost 10 seconds). Did you squeeze in a video into a 3MB gif or is there another way?

Yep! It looks a tiled gif. You can also change the tiling style in the css. You can use gifs even though it doesnt say so as backgrounds as long as they fit under 3MB.
