tags thanks for asking you can put both of you’d like

I’m going to be essentially making a rogue like and updating it all throughout the first 3 months I think, I wanna try learning things like adaptive music or music at all for my games so I’m going to try something like that.

Remember this submit your first little projects in the first 3 months! I’ll be playing them and giving feedback too! Also submitting completed tutorials in the first 3 months is totally allowed

January 1st through April first is phase 1

April 2nd through June 1st Phase II

June 2nd through September 1st Phase III

September through Christmas Phase IIII (Your final game could be our Christmas present)

1. Largest growth shown

2. Biggest consistency in uploads

3. Most community loved game

4. Game that used this feedback the most

5. My personal favorite

I think I’ll make a fun little meta rogue like about learnjam about making a game.

Hey, I’ve noticed a lot of people joining the jam lately, so I thought I’d get serious in participating! Phase 1 is the loosest phase, it goes up until April fools, where you’ll begin phase 2, here all you do is just submit things, maybe learn a new engine and show your progress before beginning. I already know the engine I’ll use so I’ll use the time to brush up on exporting skills. Keep in mind none of it is judged!

it’d be cool to have a motif here or there but not necessarily it all depends on the total scope of the project and typically people talk on discord or another platform

which doesn’t have a retro soundtrack but does use a reoccurring synth

oh you may have looked at “the binding of Isaac rebirth” I was talking about the original game on flash

The game is pixel art based so maybe something reminiscent of old video games, I’d like to find one synth to use for the majority of leads for an iconic feel (like the binding of Isaac) or with a lot of random sampling

WOAH, it’s cool to see a handful of shows my sister likes here and definitely

Also what non-game projects have you worked on in the past?

I see, very cool

(1 edit)

Started today and made my first dialogue system using some art from my younger sister:

Tomorrow I'll be adding branches to the dialogue

OOOO very nice, I could see some very fun challenge in this game. Can you "dash" in all directions or only horizontally?

Also I should note the game will probably be free when it's in the post-jam release, so rev-share might not be an option sorry

Hey Joe,

I've only been developing for 3 years now, and I'm working on my first full release independent title, everything else so far being prototypes or projects for someone else. Finally making the "dream game"! I won't cram the whole channel with my game description so here's a link with details :) :

I listened to your music on soundcloud and I'm extremely impressed! Especially with your cat's musical skill. I've been looking around for a composer, also I'd be gladly down for rev-share since I can't pay you any other way currently if that's what you're into, feel free to ask any questions, all cool if you don't wanna participate, have a good one,
