So saw that some people have problems as they want to download the game instead of playing in browser and as I got the game to work thought I'd share what I did(mac used but might work on others too):
Firstly I dowloaded the game through the itch.io app as otherwise I could not even get the game to open. (64 bit version)
Second I changed the setting before starting a new game. It seems the text is too quick so maxed that out in seconds as you can just click if you want the text quicker and turned off the marked things in the skip section.
Before I did this game would close or I'd get the black screen a lot of people seem to talk about. This ofc don't fully fix it. it can still close if I'm too quick with clicking over text and I don't try to skip anything as I know it is a bit temperamental. BUT it does make the game playable. Stick to the same rules as the web version with not having too many save slots too.
As said it does not fix the game a 100% but it has made it so I can play it with the least amount of issues, so thought I'd mention it. It really is a lovely story and universe <3 so hope people give it a chance

Just wanted to say I LOVE the idea of the other countries also getting stories and tying in different cultures/folklore. Can't really help with name as my main mythology love is Norse and Nordic folklore(which checks out given i'm norwegian so had easy access XD) But mythology and folklore is such a interesting and fun bit of history for me and I love learning more about them so while I know the other games are for the future know the folklore geeks are looking forward to it <3
maybe it have something to do with the version? I'm on mac so I'm playing that one. I can check it myself too after a break, just prefer playing VNs on the laptop and not the big pc, but can check if it works.
I totally understand that and as said while I am taking a break for now, next update I'll be back and try! the stories really are lovely <3
First off I want to say I love the story and art of this game! The characters and storylines are lovely and it comes together wonderfully when it works.
I played Ferdinand first and it went fine, I did a wrong choice but I figure it out w/o having to read the walkthrough. loved it! Then i did Emile and things started going worse, could not figure it out and had to check walkthrough without it helping as it seems it was a glitch. Played through once more from the beginning and Emile route was done w/o more trouble. yay!
Then came Bernard... I have played his route through 6 times now w/o getting an ending. Followed the walkthrough but it has not helped. Couldn't get further after the portrait scene, then tried again w doing 100% what was in the walkthrough and the same happend, then on the next try I somehow skipped the portrait stuff and I got more story! but then it started looping the story from the beginning and then i was at 1st of april and I realised I had to stop. I'm sad to say I give up.
As said the characters are awesome and the stories I got through was worth it! But Bernard, sweet Bernard, for me that story has become unplayable. I hope it might get fixed or we get an update for the game that can make you cheat through the stats so you can just play through all the things you need to get an ending. As said the stories are GOOD, the art is GOOD, it just sucks when even with a walkthrough you might not be able to get through the story and it takes so much time as even if you have read something before, if it is on a different day than you played it priviously you gotta read it all over again.
As someone who is a "part-time" wheelchair user I can not say how much I love that you are doing this <3 been it since my early 20s bc of chronic health conditions(yes more than one, I apparently like to collect them XD) and there are SO many people who have commented and made me feel bad or uncomfortable when i need to use it which just lead to not using it when needed and create bad flare ups and worsening of my condition and a lot of internal struggles with it.
Jessica is an awesome person and so glad you have watched her!
Thank you for looking it up when so many able bodied creators seem to forget it and just go with what they see represented in film/series!
Also if you need/want to talk about how it is like to be disabled for characters or how it is like to be on the other side of it in more a carer role I have a lot of insight into both if there is something that seems tricky to figure out.

Hi! I also got confused about the sans fight and it seems it is supposed to be there. I won the fight and didn't surrender as suggested by the lovely Dino and continued playing Pap's route with no issue.
The section you are supposed to wait on is the one where it tells you to drop them. Don't click on anything and if you scroll down after 16 sec you'll get the option to keep the notes. Do not throw them away!

Hi! Don't know what I did wrong, but I did all this with sans route and it worked, but when I followed this on my Papp route I got an accounter with Sans before Snowdin Town that isn't on here. tried again and the same thing happened is there a flavour choice that are no here that triggers it or something? Sorry if it is obvious!
