Pretty good! I like the gameplay a lot. I think the bosses could do with less health, but other than that, a fun time :)

It's cute! Very well scoped for a week long jam, while still being fun and engaging to play. Great job!

I think this is my favorite of the jam! Feels like a lot of consideration went into the levels, really enjoyed puzzling them out. Well done!

Nice idea! Frog detective vibes from it, seems like a finished version would be a wholesome and fun time. The cursor sensitivity is a bit quick tho!

really in depth for a week long jam, and the art is excellent of course. great entry!

Nice idea! I agree that the camera is a bit slow at catching up with the player, but outside of that, what you have here is solid! Could see myself binging a full version of this over a weekend or something

Would be interested in a post jam version for sure! It's a great idea. Could have used a little bit of direction in what the symbols represent for sure. And I looooooove the art, but I did find myself wanting to turn off the animations, personally. Or maybe if they only animated when they were being clicked and dragged, it would be ok? Or just a switch that turns them off for accessibility reasons?

BUT there's a really cool game here that I'd love to play more of! Great work

Thanks!!

Also a bit lost on how to play it, but I love the 1 bit art and the music!

This is great! Very much enjoyed keeping the dudes warm

Like others are saying, would definitely play a finished version! Great design work, I like how contained it is. The art and music are excellent too

This was a fun time! highest score I got was 18

Cheers for all the kind words and feedback! I'll definitely optimise this and re balance it for a post jam version.

I should also say, I did answer "yep" to making everything from scratch, and that is neeaaarly true apart from the stock photos. Obvious, but wanted to go on the record to mention it! I did also take the sound for the clock when it's on 10 seconds or less from a previous project I made, now that I think about it. So, a slight correction!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks so much! I should check out Dobble sometime, haven't tried it before

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!

Thanks, I like this idea! I could blank them out too, so you'd know there's more food at higher levels, but you wouldn't know what food until you reach them.

Thanks for playing!!

Thanks for playing! And sorry about that. I did not have the time to make a tutorial as I would have liked. I've written in the rules in full into the description now to compensate in the meantime, appreciate the feedback!

Enjoy your banana

Thanks!

And that's fair, I had bigger ambitions to fit the theme but not enough time to implement them.

Loved it!

So, so good. Probably my favourite that I've played. Nice tight puzzle design, fun mechanics, and satisfying to solve. Love it

Thanks for playing!

You aren't meant to stand on that part, this is definitely a visual issue. It's tripped a few people up and I'll work on communicating that better in the future. I'll also tweak it after the jam ends!

This comment has given me a good idea - including an option to make the game easier by resetting the torchlight to max at the start of each level. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed it.

And for sure, the hitboxes and the tileset itself definitely need some improvement. It's definitely something I'll tweak after the Jam!

Thanks for playing!

This is great! This is a very easy 5 stars on visuals, really smooth animations and a great colour palette. Really liked the worms in particular, that was a big surprise!

Boss battle is tough, but I like that about it. Great job overall!

Thanks a ton!

Thank you so much, and fair play for finishing the whole thing! I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

The rainbow thingy is just the main artifact you have to destroy to finish the game. I was running out of time by then, so that's why it's a little ambiguous! Would definitely have made it more distinct in hindsight. And thanks for letting me know about the R thing, I'll look into that

Thanks again for the rating and the positive vibes here!

Thanks for the kind words!! Hopefully the spacebar issue didn't get too frustrating 😅

I'll be checking out your game for sure. I'm glad my Indiana Jones character isn't alone in the Jam!

Thank you!

Ah, sorry about the fire thing 😅 There might be a better way to communicate the mechanic, for sure.
You should be able to press T, which will set you back at the last checkpoint and refill your torchlight.

Thank you for playing and leaving feedback!

Love the idea, bang on with the theme here!

Very fun! loved driving my janky lil car

Thanks so much for the kind words and feedback!

For that level, the intention is that you have to carefully jump down through the chasm of spikes, collecting the key on the way, and jump again quickly after you land to avoid the arrow. The tileset is misleading because it definitely looks like you can stand on the edge of the spikes, a few people were caught out by this! Definitely would have polished this level a bit more in hindsight.

As some people are having trouble seeing the controls screen:

~ Controls ~

wasd - walk
space - jump
left mouse (hold) - use torch
r - restart room
t - restart at last checkpoint

Thank you!!

Thanks for playing!
