Very unique. Fun to unlock new power-ups. Great story. People will play for decades to achieve 0 casualties.

Super fun! Great levels! I liked how the laser beams got shorter and shorter until they vanished. Nice that the instructions on how to play were part of the level. Also, the summary in the final room was a nice touch.

Love the name of the game :D

Nice game! Quite scary to move around within that tiny speck of light, not knowing what is in front of you. Or under you. I also liked the wall climbing feature. And all the animations are butter smooth, great job!

Gotta say, I had a blast playing this. Really took me back to the good old games from my childhood.

The intro was great! At first, when I saw one of the snakes avoid another, I thought they were running autonomously. Then I saw what you were doing :)

Smooth controls and no problem playing with a trackpad. Nice music (stage 3 is still playing in my head). Cute 3D models. Would play again.

I agree that the rings on stage 2 are kind of hard to see, but after a while you get a feeling for where they should be. One thing I would like is a sound when picking up items on stage 3. Loved the animations of the apple's face on that stage though :)

(Btw.. could you pick up other weapons on stage 3?)

Wow, this game was hard! I always seemed to run out of food half way... and I really tried to kill the crew to get the consumption down. On my last run I hoped the cannibal would be able to survive on the other crew members long enough to get to the end, but I still ended up on the bottom of the ocean :D

Nice cut scenes. I played a bunch of times and got at least one new cut scene every time. However, almost every choice I made resulted in a "Fail" status, even when the outcome seemed to be positive. Only once did I get a "Success".  Oh, and a funny thing that happened during a fight among the crew was that one of them died twice.

Loved the music. It made it feel really cozy traveling in this little yellow submarine of certain doom.

The game crashed firefox every time I tried to start it. And on Chrome it failed to start some times, but reloading the page usually solved that. Didn't try Safari.

Restarting the game after dying didn't properly reset the game. After pressing the "Embark" button it would show the end screen again. Only way to restart was to reload the page. Since it plays in the browser it's not a big issue, I just hit reload when I die instead of pressing the restart button.

Will play some more later, I really want to beat it :)

I did not get a peaceful journey.. that's what you get for trying to be clever :D

Seemed like the jump button didn't respond sometimes when I did many jumps in quick succession. But that kind of forced me to take my time and plan my jumps more carefully. Would call that a feature and not a bug.

Nice touch that you don't actually die when you fall down, but rather choose to restart the level.

Good work! I enjoyed playing :)

Nice game! I enjoyed reading the funny descriptions of the items, which probably led me to research far more stuff than I needed. Finally managed to pay off my debt, though :)

In this game you play as an investigator that has just arrived at the space station Artemis. Each room will take you deeper into the story through the conversations you'll have with the station's AI system.

The levels are increasingly challenging and new mechanics are introduced the further you go. Push boxes onto switches, toggle buttons to reveal new areas. There's even a teleporter! You need to figure out how each level works in order to beat it.

Also, it's dark and spooky. And we added LASER turrets.

We've taken inspiration from games like Sokoban and Zelda, as well as movies like the Thing and Alien. A few others are in there too, as you'll notice in the story dialog. Well, if you're old enough at least. Like, grew up in the 80's... anyway, not important to complete the game.

The game is completely free, and you can play it in the browser if you'd like. The downloadable versions support higher resolutions if you prefer that.

Let us know if you like it, or if you think we could improve on something. Perhaps you'd like more levels?

Allright, that's it! Here's the game link: https://catsonkeyboardscollective.itch.io/intergalactic-investigator

Good luck!

Make your way through the dark interior of a space station.

Artemis is a space station in darkness. Be careful

Avoid the turrets.
Stay away from deadly LASER turrets!

Hi Allingames.
Thanks for trying out our game and making a video about it.

Also, well done beating level 1 and most of level 2. I am sure that if you give level 2 another go you'll figure out how to solve the last part of it as well. If you manage to push the boxes into a state where the puzzle can no longer be solved (like in the video), you can restart the level from the button in the top left corner of the screen.

If you want to try out other levels even if you haven't solved the previous ones, you can unlock them in the settings menu.

The video seems a bit stretched out horizontally. Is this a problem you had playing the game or is it just the recording?

After working on this game for far longer than we had initially anticipated, Intergalactic Investigator is finally live!

Please give it a try and tell us what you think about the experience.

Also, please let us know of any trouble you have running it (maybe we can solve it, maybe we can't).
