I actually just noticed that F2 saves when I reread the controls html file. xD

That's understandable, especially since it's currently in development anyway.  I figured I could suggest things and sort out bugs since I'm a game dev myself and I know how a lot of things can go unnoticed by our own debugging.  I can't remember exactly which flowers, though, I just remember some of the ones in the first part of town where your home is has some, and the animated grass seems to be in front of the NPCs as well.

I'll keep up with this for sure, but sometimes I venture away from itch.io so PM me if you release any big updates, I'll be glad to play through it.

Hey, this is looking pretty solid so far, and I definitely want to keep up with it.  I noticed a few things from the start, both good and bad (nothing more than graphical bugs minus the fact I couldn't figure out how to save if it's implemented).  It somewhat has an Earthbound feel to it, at least to me.  I did a few videos of it, and will do some more later (The thumbnail is temporary right no).

Bugs I noticed:

First, I noticed that the collision between objects vs the player is a bit off, where there shouldn't be an overlapping collision like you have (from the looks of it) and instead a collision detection that doesn't actually collide but still shows it as if the player is colliding, resulting in a smoother collision graphic.

The second, I saw that you forgot or mislayered some of the flowers and grass as they would be on top of NPCs.

Overall, the music and graphics were nice, and I kinda got inspiration to work on an RPG myslf lol.

Pros

I usually am really bad at these types of games but this one has been rather fun, though challenging in some parts.   I've thoroughly enjoyed my plays of this game, and I think I've gotten to the final boss of this release, however I'm not sure.   The checkpoint system is fair and not spread too far apart or too close to each other as well.  I like how there are different characters to go along with various play styles, too.

Cons

The first issue would be that the controllers don't work well yet, however it's likely due to me having a DS4 and it's not fully implemented yet, if I recall in the readme.  That's just a minor inconvenience though, and I'm pretty sure you're aware of it.   The main problem is being able to go through walls (specifically corners, which you can see pretty early into my gameplay I'm going to post) and falling through the world.  Second issue I noticed is you can "cheat" the water by jumping up out of it and holding down to technically swim under but it acts as if you're floating on the surface.   That could cause some problems other than cheating, but I'm not 100% sure.   The next thing is that I feel that the game, thus far, is a tad too easy, granted it may be that way only for the pre-alpha release, and you intended it that way.

Suggestions

I'd say, in my opinion, that increasing the difficulty (not in general, but with the gauge) would give the enemies more health as well as hitting harder, or smarter AI tactics.  Just don't spam enemies, which from what I've gathered, you do know not to.   I liked the idea of "hoards"  that come from the air ships at random places, that was a good step in challenge.  If you chose to go the path of increasing the health of enemies with difficulty, be sure to not overdo it for the "hoard" enemies from ships.    Another thing I might suggest, for those with multiple monitors, is a mouse lock option where the mouse cursor stays in the window.  I was having problems with not paying attention to how far right I was moving my mouse and ended up tabbing out when trying to shoot.

Overall, as I said, it is a great game so far, I'm definitely looking forward to more updates.

Hey,  really enjoyed the game's demo, however there was a slight controller problem.  I'm using a PS4 controller and the buttons didn't "sync" to what was shown in the settings.  However I did like the aesthetics of the game, and will likely get the full version at some point.

I did a playthrough of the game and was hoping there would be more (I didn't expect it to be so short.) and I feel it should be more difficulty, unless this is a first demo of the game.  I didn't discover any bugs, though, and I look forward to more of this!

Overall, this game was great.  I like the idea and concept of it, and I hope to see more of this.  The only problems I encountered were the glitches where you fell through the map.

My video features a few.

I really enjoyed this game! The story was short, yet interesting, and that's not bad at all.  The controls were a bit tricky to get used to, but it was all good fun accidentally squishing my friends.  I did a playthough of it.  My kind of humor is in this game too, which is a huge plus.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I could. The right one controlled the positioning your character was facing, correct?

I definitely did, however I definitely need to get better with the landmines. xD Glad you appreciated the feedback.

Great game so far, though it could definitely use some tweaks, like any other game in development. It would be great to have some music too, but overall, it is pretty solid so far. One problem I noticed is that turning around with a bomb, you kind of run into it instead of it moving with you. Definitely keep up the work, though!

Great game so far, definitely looking forward to the full version as well, and I'm finding some of the leaves you have put around.
