For the laser - the hurt animation eyes could be used and used on different sprites, perhaps the crouch

For the shoot animation - the kick animation's(fourth from top) third sprite could be used for shooting in case you add some form of gun

the license Creative Commons Attribution v4.0 International should allow you to edit the sprites, so feel free to do so

As for me adding the animations - it was mentioned in the description that the sprites were originally made for a game that was abandoned, therefore I have no intention of adding any additional sprites/animations

Given that characters have no hands, I'm assuming that you mean a slight "knockback"  effect once a projectile was shot.
I believe that kick animation could be used for that

If I'm mistaken, please explain what you mean by a "shooting" animation

Thank you

Thank you

Thank you :D

Aseprite to design the changes of the characters' heads and Gimp to swap the color palettes
(disclaimer: I'm not that well-versed in either of the programs, so I used what I knew a workflow for, in  order not to not waste time)

The only real change(s) are characters' heads and colors

In the most of them the "belly" part is using the same color as the rest of the body.

Some of the charactes do have shortened tails.

The ears act in tandem with the tail - ear goes down on the same frame as tail and then stays there for one more frame

Yes, you can

No, as stated in the description, these sprites were originally made for a game - which was abandoned...

And here are the enemy characters for the same game https://chaoswitchnikol.itch.io/animal-characters

Used the sprite sheet as a template for characters in my (abandoned) game https://chaoswitchnikol.itch.io/kozy

The Goat Characters sprites are available here https://chaoswitchnikol.itch.io/goat-characters

No, there are no animations

Thank you

Thank you for the feedback it is much appreciated.

A little bit of reward should be visible in the next release. But I'm still working on this.

Terrain types give you abilities to do different attacks which some enemies might be weak against

Moving enemies, it is somewhat planned

The healing is based only on the items the player finds in the treasure chests

Thank you!

And thank you for the notes.
I'll see what I can do to make menus and attacks more user friendly.

The last one happens, because the game is not optimized yet
sorry about that (*_ _)人

Thank you. Hopefully, there is going to be a new version with a little tutorial soon

I tried to fix some file names that might have be the cause, but I am not sure.

If I am not bothering you, could you please try downloading "fixed " version?

Also, if there is still error, could you please post a screen?

Hello,

I am not sure why that happens. I am running it just fine (windows 10).

Did the game start with  a tutorial? Or did it set you right into main menu?

Matching current art style is necessary. I am willing to see what you can do, but I will not put  anything too much different in the game.

For example humanoid monsters / creatures usually have 4 frames of movement/run animation. Idle animation is usually only one sprite, attack animatins differs from monster to monster. Only exception is slime (the dark blueish blob), which is more fluid, but that is because of nature of the monster.

So lets see, what sticks and what does not, for now.

Also, we should communicate in a different way than here in the comments section. Twitter? Email?

Hello,

Of course you can help!

But I have to ask you few things beforehand.

  1. Will you be able to match current art style of the game? Cause your pixel art just looks SO amazing! Lot more than mine.
  2. What sort of assets you will need from me? Assuming that you will make tileset(s) and some monsters.
  3. How soon I can expect any assets from you?
  4. How do you want to be credited for your work?

That is all and thank you for offering help.

P.S.: My English is not that good either :D
