I just finished The Final Prize is Soup, and I wish I had read this earlier. I found this visual novel months ago but I just never read it, which I regret. It’s a really well-made yuri visual novel with a great mix of story and visuals.

The first thing that stood out to me was how scary the monsters were. The way the characters walked was also a nice touch. The visual and sound effects, backgrounds, sprites, CGs, animations, art, and music were all really impressive and made the game feel immersive. One thing I didn’t like as much was that the main character and love interests looked too similar probably because they all had black hair. But the characters themselves were great though! Hailu was such a flirt, which made me laugh, and Bru Yanxu was soooo sweet.

Game Spoilers ahead!

I loved the scene where Mimi leans on Lulu’s chest, that was so cute! But damn, Lulu was so cruel breaking up with Mimi like that. Definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth. I also loved the scene where Eleven and Hailu were flirting, even while Eleven was literally dying, it was cute and silly at the same time. The rainbow cloud background absolutely stunning btw.

Side Story Spoilers The side story about "The King" was one of my favorite parts. Her backstory was really sad, and definitely made me sympathize with her. The side story was so interesting though! Just wished that there was an actual route for her.

Overall, The Final Prize is Soup is a fantastic yuri visual novel with a great story and beautiful visuals. If you like yuri visual novels, this one is definitely worth playing!

Ps. Can’t wait for more Yuri Visual novels! I’ll be checking out your other visual novels in the meantime! :)

Thank you for the reply! I’m super glad to hear that you’ll be releasing more yuri visual novels! I absolutely love them, and I’m really excited for your next project. I’ll definitely play it once it’s released! Oh, and if you don’t mind, could you give me a hint or something about what your next yuri visual novel will be about and when it might be released? I’m really curious!

I just finished reading your visual novel, and I wanted to say that I enjoyed it! The characters were really pretty, which added to the overall charm of the story. It was short and sweet, just wished it was longer. The little twist at the end was surprising and nice. I hope you make some more Yuri Visual Novels in the future!

I just finished your visual novel, and wow. That was a whole roller coaster! First off, I absolutely loved the Live2D animations. It made the characters feel more.. what’s the word? Real? I dunno, but what I do know was that the character movements were super goofy at times, which kept me entertained. And yes, you definitely managed to jump-scare me at the beginning of the story. Definitely caught me off guard.

Technical error spoilers There were a few technical things I noticed, like the error in Hitomi’s memory Part 2 and Part 3 with the English subtitles.

There was also a random line in Japanese during Chapter 4.

Also, there were moments when the screen went blank and the Japanese voice lines were playing, like when Hitomi says “good morning” to Ichika at the start of Chapter 5, or at the end of Hitomi’s memory 5 when Ichika says “I want Hitomi to accept me.” I think that was intentional, but I’m not so sure.

Spoilers of the Story I have to say, Mikuri’s entrance into the story felt so random lmao. But that’s part of what makes the game so unpredictable. And while I loved the voice acting that was there, I really wished there had been more of it throughout the story. Now, onto the story itself, Ichika’s (and your) fetishes totally caught me off guard. I was so happy when she kissed Hitomi, but then I got to read the true ending… That left me completely dumbfounded. I felt so bad for Mikuri at first, but by the end, I was seriously pissed off. Why did it have to be *that* kind of relationship? The sadistic dynamic was also very… concerning. I couldn’t help but feel terrible for Hitomi. This story was such an emotional rollercoaster. I swear this game needs to stop playing with my heart.

Also, I read the note you wrote about how you created the game, and I just want to say that your dedication really shines through. The backgrounds were amazing, and it’s clear that a lot of heart went into every detail. I’m sorry to hear about your knee injury while scouting locations, but I’m glad you were able to avoid heatstroke this time. That kids’ meal you mentioned looks great too haha.

Anyways, thank you for putting together such an intense, captivating experience. Despite my frustrations

Spoiler in about the ending + a lil extra (and the sadistic ending + the fetishes in there)
, I really appreciate everything that went into making this visual novel! And like what @railmegojo said, this vn definitely needs more recognition. I can't wait to see more of your Yuri Visual Novels!
