Right, ok. That doesn't happen here, so i'll have to get that fixed.

Ah, i see. I'll add a quit option to the controller.

You can press F to go fullscreen if memory serves.

Hi,

Joysticks/controllers should work out of the box with Linux, at least they do here. I'll double check for you.

I can certainly add an option to save your screen mode. I played it loads on my big tv when i was developing it. It's great with the sound up and the lights down!

I've squished a lot of portability issues by using the steam runtime (it's on github) to build against. They've made a pretty decent job of using only very common libs, and anything they don't include you can package up with your game.

This gets around the deb/rpm thing for my stuff at least.

No rush. Get well soon!

Actually, you may be able to change the threshold setting for your pad in the controller setup menu. That may fix it.

Hi,

Did the gamepad issue happen in the previous versions?

Hey,

I've just released my new game, Son of Scoregasm here on itch. Game page is here: Son of Scoregasm

It's a fun shooter that i released on PS Vita earlier in the year and tricked out a bit for PCs (Mac, Windows and Penguins).

Here's a video:

During the end of development i used some of itch's refinery stuff (butler etc.) to get the game out to testers. I'm really, really impressed with how well it works. It really helped to have the ability to iterate and push builds from the  scripts i use to build/package the game. It's save literally days and possibly weeks of faffing around. Combined with all the useful stuff for sales/key distribution/customer contacts/etc. it's a great platform. Full marks, itch! Keep up the good work.

Right, so i think i've fixed the resolution changing bug. It appears to have been an SDL thing, as updating it seems to let me change res correctly. It might also fix the maximum resolution thing you're seeing @MageMaster.

Charlie

It is a little trickier than the first.

I'm not sure what's going on with the resolution thing you're experiencing. The game uses SDL2 to open windows and provide information on what resolutions are available, so i guess i'll take a look there. Does the game show the resolutions found in the terminal output?

Ah, cool. I've not seen it again here so fingers crossed i've fixed it this time!

The game is locked at 60fps as that's what i was targeting on vita/ps4. I'd like to add higher fps in future games though.

Hi,

I've got a linux build up now that *seems* to fix the broken text bug. Would be interested to know if this is the case with you employee2-46012

Cheers

Charlie

you should be able to change the resolution to whatever you like.

I've seen this, though i'm not sure what's causing it yet. Thanks for letting me know :)

Things i know about:

  • FPS limiting is broken.
  • Possible issue with nvidia cards on linux (can't reproduce here).
  • trophy model looks strange at a distance on menu.
  • tutorial says 'Press A' when using keyboard/mouse controls.

Feel free to let me know anything else.
