Those are good points. The game balance and the visual representation of an enemy kill definitely need some work. I'll also look into leaving corpses, if it does not hinder the performance drastically.

Thanks for the feedback and for playing!

Awesome game, got many Port Royale vibes. I can't imagine how many hours you put into this, as it is extensive and well designed and implemented. I can't wait to play the final version as many others as I see in the comments.

I honestly think that it can become a popular game if you just improve the UX (like adding some more tutorials), add the things that I suppose you couldn't due to the deadline (like some abilities, other minor gameplay features, some animations), and fix some bugs. My reports are some issues with the music, and the graphics loading a minute or so after the spawn. Nonetheless, my favourite entry so far. Congratulations!

Enjoyable entry! I've played some pong versions in other jams but none with the twist of controlling the ball. Loved the music too, is so catchy. Personal record is 40!

Una auténtica gozada, tanto el apartado visual como el sonoro. El gameplay es entretenido, y la narrativa engancha y está integrada perfectamente. Un juego redondo, gran logro, más aún teniendo en cuenta que es de jam.

Thanks! :)

Hello everyone. I'm Ramil, a finishing Game Development student. I just released a new game for free called The Swarm.

The Swarm is an endless top down shooter where you have to survive against swarms of intelligent flies. Try to reach the top of the online highscores by surviving as long as you can. Upgrade your arsenal in the shop between waves. Each round will raise the challenge.

This game was originally created as a college project for an AI subject. The objective was to develop a simple yet playable game containing a flocking AI. As I ended enjoying the testing, I decided to polish and expand a little the game in order to release it.

The game is made in Unity, all coding by me. The art comes from different sources detailed in the credits. The highscores service is provided by globalstats.io. If any of you are interested in adding online highscores to your indie game, consider this service as it is free, open source and completely adapted to Unity.

And here's a two round gameplay:

Thanks for your time!
