I really like the art design in your game.

I’m too late to enter the contest, but I wanted to post my microgame anyway. So here’s my first published game design, COVID-19.

Because of the stay-at-home directive, I was never able to get four people together to test my micro card game. :(

Here’s a link to the rules: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QpVKKqMX98sCbUk1MWcpOQXfZQgmmA6y/view?usp=sharing

Here’s a link to the deck of 20 cards: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JZm79uusDGTLSUWzXbGimEegjv82N1zZ/view?usp=sharing

(You can use the Ace to 5 of a standard deck of cards with Post-It notes if you can’t print out the deck).

I just wanted to say “thank you” to Robin David for organizing this game design jam - I wouldn’t have tried to design a co-op game if he didn’t do the game jam.

Interesting. I guess most of the tech writing I read is from the States, so it make sense that I see it spelled analog (without the ue) when comparing it to “digital”.

And the other analogue I used for English class - British literature. :D

RobinDavid, are you British or from the Commonwealth?

Well, I couldn’t sleep again last night, so I figured out nanDECK, a free software tool that helps you rapidly prototype cards for a card game.

I have now scripted a way to design my 20-card game, and will be able to programmatically change the font sizes, positions of the letters on the cards, and whatever.

My new tasklist:

  • Figure out which of my rules variants work best (playtesting!)
  • Figure out how to playtest virtually. I don’t want to use jammers for my first few playtests, and I have ppl that “owe me” locally
  • Figure out what colors are good for colorblind players

It piqued my interest, since I’m somewhat of a word nerd, but is there a difference between analog and analogue?

I’ve always seen analog as the opposite of digital, while I’ve thought of analogue as meaning “related to” or something like that (like the word analogous)

Don’t know if I’m tripping up on a British spelling or something…

Just saw your post on r/tabletopgamedesign last night while falling asleep. Brainstormed an action selection card game and will try out the jam.

Problem is, I don't know how to playtest a four-player game with only one or  two people. :D

Love the idea of this contest. Thanks!
