October of 2020 we put up the demo for our very first game Class of '09 on Itch.io which got us a lot of initial attention leading us to believe it would do well on a larger scale. It was the idea of making a visual novel palatable for non-VN players yet simultaneously not trying to be an irony fest, just genuine written comedy in a thematically heavy story.

After the first version of our release on Steam in June 2021, we thought it would be only right that Itch.io could have the access to version 1.2 with additional content and ease of life features.

As someone not super deep in the VN community, the last game of the genre that had been known to turn heads was Doki Doki Literature Club. It was subversive and original from a gameplay perspective, but we thought there was still room to be made from other perspectives: audibly, narratively, culturally, tonally etc...

We're going for probably one of the only comedy visual novels focused on earnest jokes as opposed to a blast of irony. Also fully voiced with a notable cast starring in a variety of other hit games. All dialogue plays back in real time so you don't have to hunch over clicking constantly.
