Unique way to do the theme! It's interesting to see the old fashioned ads.

Same here, the turret cycle button didn't work so I could only place the one kind. Also I was only able to use the secondary shooting attack 1 time, then it never worked again.

One of the best theme implementations. Note that the ads with the text input, it's often difficult to make out exactly what it's showing. That was my very first ad the first time I played, and I never figured out what a couple of the characters were for that one. Another one, the first character looked like an 8, the rest were fine, but it wouldn't accept, so I changed 8 to g, still wouldn't work. Couldn't figure out what that character was. Maybe increase the font size on them. Otherwise good job.

That's not my issue. I was not able to get a single one. As I said, they are literally impossible at the speed it's going at unless the X is right in front of the turret to begin with, and even when it is nearly right in front of the X, I click to shoot immediately and sometimes the shot doesn't even reach the X before the next ad pops up. The last time I played, I finally nearly hit my first ad. :( Maybe it's browser related? I might try later on different browsers.

The ads are so fast and the turret so slow it's completely unplayable for me. The ads are not up long enough to even allow the turret to rotate far enough to hit the X, sometimes not even halfway there. Did you forget to multiply something by the framerate delta time, so maybe running on a faster PC makes the ads stay up less time?

Thanks. I came back around to it. I did much better this time and voted on it. Good job.  Question though: Do you get more health or defense somehow as you go through, like from the ad buffs? I eventually started trying to lose and was unable so I eventually just quit. I probably had too much health/defense buffs from dealing with so many ads.

Fun concept, I like it. Unfortunately it was only partly usable: the game is at a huge resolution and doesn't fit on my monitor, even though my monitor is not small. Even in fullscreen mode, it still extended offscreen so I couldn't see everything. Also I eventually lost when the ads stopped closing, the X's in them no longer worked. In my game, I did have 1 ad that intentionally didn't close until you did something else to trigger it; I'm not sure if maybe you did the same.

Not many ratings because there were issues linking with the jam even though the game was submitted on time. Please try out "Hot Milk?" It has all custom-made art and features battling ads both personified and literally on a virtual phone: gaming and meta-gaming at the same time.

How you interact with the ads influences what the ads do in the future and also how they interact with the world around you. Ignoring the ads no the phone leads to negative outcomes as even more personified ads hunt you.

I wasn't sure what to do at first, had to do it more than once to figure it out. Even got stuck on the windows that pop up before the actual game, didn't realize I needed to click on the "user" response one. Also I'm not sure if I could see all of the user one, it may have gotten clipped off the bottom of the screen.

Once I realized how to do everything properly and what to do, it was a better experience. I got to the wave where they start going backwards.

I can't figure out how to battle the enemies, all I can do is move. I also can't figure out how to clear the ads. Clicking them, even on the X, doesn't do anything. You should list the controls somewhere, even if only in the game's description, so I know if I'm doing something wrong

How did it break? I occasionally get two ads at once over top of each other, but once you deal with them it goes back to normal.

A lot of the incoming objects rush straight to hit me in a tent of a second. Only a few come slow enough to get even one or two hits on them. Fun arcade design though.

I came back to this to try it some more. I managed to get enough of them to deplete the bottom meter and it paused with two big squares on the screen. I didn't realize at first these were the upgrades you mentioned in the details. Perhaps update the details to explain how the one meter is for upgrades and you choose the colored button after you complete the meter.
