Hey GarterSnake508, I re-uploaded the game without the bug. Let me know what you think of the game. I debated making changes or polishing the game - even as far as just leaving it to rot on my itch.io page. Instead, I figured I should at least re-upload for better feedback with a complete(?) game.

Hey ENDOBLANCE, I re-uploaded the game. I was debating for quite some time about polishing this game, changing the story up to make it better, or just scrapping the idea, but I decided to just fix the game breaking bug and just re-upload it. I didn't have much of a drive to go and polish this since I've been swamped with work.
I'm glad my short, looping soundtrack has such duality lol. I agree that the maps should be smaller and the movement should be a bit slower. Definitely something I will fine tune for the re-release without the game-breaking bug.
In regards to the art, I wanted to limit myself to a small palette but I should try to add more variety to make the environment interesting. I'm still working on my animations, so if I can get around to fixing that then I definitely will.
Thank you for the awesome feedback!
There is currently a bug where if you talk to someone, you are then not allowed to move... My apologies. I didn't get to fully test before submitting.
EDIT: I found the bug. I added a feature where once you talk to a character or during any other scenario where boxes pop up on the screen, movement is disabled to prevent breaking the conversation. This was a last minute change, and I forgot to re-enable movement for the case of a conversation. Once voting is done, I will push an update to itch.io
