Really nice work Mike. Getting rid of the old buildings makes a big difference and I like how you lowered the road edge at field 118 for water ingress. It's little details like that create immersion.
I personally like the original roads better, the sandstone color with imperfections and tar snakes fit the map but completely understand it's all part of updating for '25. Great work!
Yes what I did.
My save #1... Loaded up GE and deleted loads of American Elm stage 01 trees, replace with bushes to fill.
My save #2... Loaded up GE and deleted ALL trees. Created my own tracks of forests at much thinner levels.
But, I love working in Giants Editor and understand most probably can't be bothered.
I have a 4070ti/1-7 12700k holding 141fps@60c on high settings. The map runs very well.
Primarily play on Midwest Horizon, this map caught my attention.
Very well put together. I am a performance nut so the first thing I did was load up the editor and deleted all trees, adding in thinner tracks of forest and fill. Few hours later my 4070ti is holding 141fps @ 60c.
Excellent creation DR thank you for sharing this with the community.
A year on now and this is still my favorite map on '22, so much thoughtful detail I'd need a break too after spending untold hours in the editor.
Flint Hills is my favorite map of all time, I still play '19 to go back to it. Anyway, thanks SoloSAM for giving us this and maybe see around farm sim again one day. Best wishes on the career change and real life!!
