Thanks for playing! Yeah pygame in the web caps out at 30fps so I have been trying to be a bit smarter on how I do the drawing since that's the biggest overhead

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! I agree I wanted to go for more base building and make it grid based but the npc behaviors took some time so I had to add the extra stuff quick and dirty lol

Thanks for playing! I had a blast doing the animations :)

I liked the atmosphere of the game and idea. The creature at the door jump scare got me it was very nicely timed.

Thanks for playing! Yeah I did have fun with the scheduler it gave me an opportunity to experiment with simple npc behaviors in pygame.

Thanks for playing! It's possible, pygame is a little slow in the browser but I have been trying different ways to make game objects a little more performant during these jams

Thanks for playing! That's fair, I should have added a bit more info in game.

Rip and tear brother xD thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! I'll do a bit of research into/about that design, thanks!

Thanks for playing! There sort of is, if the ticket can't be accepted because of insufficient cash or owned stock it'll be skipping with spacebar only offers you can accept you have to wait for, it's a fairly poor design looking back

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! Yeah I agree in hindsight I don't think the get 5 offers go to next day was the best implementation especially since you tend to go long stretches waiting when RNG runs poorly

Thanks for playing! I'll definitely be doing more testing in the future with async programming and thanks for letting me know the browser so I can experiment more with that as well!

Thanks for playing! Yeah after each round a set of spikes appear, I probably should have had a indicator and delay when they spawn so there's a little heads up

Last Day UPDATE:

  •  reduced sprite processors from 5 - 2
  • reduced Spike spawning on new level from 5-10 to 5-8
  •  updated sprite layering
  •  2 new weapons
  •  added loadout selection
  •  added a powerup to allow for dual wielding ;)

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! Yeah I'm doing more work on the side for a better async setup that should be more performant going forward

I threw my plant off the edge so many times trying to get the one button xD neat little game good job!

Ahh the floor is lava lol good job on the game!

Great little game. I like the decision aspect and consequences. My only critique is that I would have liked to have more choices instead of just 2 like whoops war broke out here's a meteor storm xD

Great little game, had the same issue as others for the browser but after a few refreshes it was fine. A bit more feedback for hits and for the asteroid speeding up would be a nice touch.

left and right seemed ok most of the time but would cut out occasionally and the vertical movement seemed delayed or needed to hold to register

Music and atmosphere was very nice. A little bit of sound effects and animations here would go a long way also I couldn't feed the tree to the fire it craves the trees xD

It felt like sometime the key presses wouldn't fire and sometimes I would have to press another key to have the same key register and there was some instances where I would have to hold the key to get it to register

Art and music was awesome but the combat system felt a little to fast (skill issue probably) maybe having a difficulty selector could help and felt like the combat was just spamming for the sake of spamming since it was hard to grasp where my next spell would be trying to doge enemies at the same time

I managed to get 4 fish idk how lol the movement is kind of rough and definitely could use a bit of sound effects

This was really fun and original. The store panel in my opinion blocks a little too much of the screen. Should add a mode of for a multi planet fight, get the whole solar system involved lol

Fun casual game, good music and atmosphere. Good job!
