Glad you like it

You probably don't want to read the generic content that everyone else is posting, so I'll just say that Squared Adventure has finally been released. You can play it here:: Squared Adventure. It's a 2D puzzle platformer, pixel art, retro, indie, puzzle, action, no action, wtvr game with beautiful graphics taken from the asset store and a terrible code that thankfully you won't see.

Features:

  • Charming single player gameplay with no need to rush.
  • A small yet beautiful world to explore.
  • Logical puzzles with different mechanics.
  • Some enemies to not make the game too easy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).
  • Trampolines.

Well, I don't know if it has something to do with the specs of my system, rather it has something to do with the browser settings. But I've tried all the browsers on my computer and it doesn't work.

It shows me some html and javascript errors on every browser I try to play.

Really cool game, hope it has more levels if you plan to develop it further.

While playing, I came across a few problems that I don't know if you are aware of.

- The story images at the beginning disappear too fast, so it can be difficult to read all the text on the screen.

- After dying, after being reborn, I could not move and could only jump.

- The player can get stuck very easily, it happened to me several times and each time I had to restart the whole game. It would be great if you added the option to reload the level or exit the game with the Escape button.

I also have some ideas for possible improvements, this is just my opinion.

- The sounds are quite odd to be honest, sometimes too loud and sometimes they don't fit the scene. And I don't mean background sounds and music but walking sound or the sound of the big crab chasing the player.

- The movement is a bit weird and rigid - for example you can only crouch when you move, you can't crouch while standing, which made me get stuck under a tree once.

- Some sort of barrier could be placed on the edge of the map, so the player can't fall off what has happened to me.

I enjoyed the game, especially its atmospheric, great looking graphics in both 2D and 3D. Another very good thing about the game was its music, which gave it a very dark and kind of a horror feel.
Don't get me wrong after all I wrote, I really enjoyed the game, but it needs a bit of polishing, especially when it comes to the movement mechanics. I look forward to seeing the next versions of the game if you plan to develop it further.

Still better than Overwatch 2

This game, with its beautiful graphics using the latest rendering technology, enters a whole new level of quality, and leaves all AAA games far behind. The music, the sounds and the original idea make this a game that will always remain in my memory.

11/10

Have you played the new version?

Great idea and well polished 10/10.

It would be useful if you put a little tutorial in description or inside the game, or maybe I'm too stupid.

Thx, I'm currently working on a game: https://crazy-potato-game-studio.itch.io/squared, but I can certainly do some art if I have some time. Depends what you want me to do.

For me the game, even at this early stage, was worth playing. It definitely goes in the right direction and has interesting mechanics. It was quite difficult and I don't know if it is possible to pass the third level. I wait for more.

The game is great.
The puzzles are not too difficult or too easy, the graphics are lovely and the mechanics easy to understand. But I think you're going to need some good marketing, to get the game out to more people.

Really nice game, I liked the graphics and the music. The game was quite difficult for me, but I guess that was the whole idea.

+ On starting the game windows defender showed me information that the game is a virus.

I would like to write more about the game, but in my case it crashes as I start a new game or load a save. The game is paid on steam, so it displays me an error that I don't have a key to start the game.

Thx for playing, I really appreciate it.

I'm going to redo the basic enemies in the next update. Also I plan to add hints to the game, so the mechanics won't be so hard to figure out.

Definitely the best pixel art icons on this asset store. Have you thought about making some potions or food icons?

Well, I am not that experienced in 3D modeling to do 'gothic architecture' but i can definitely do some low poly houses.

A really good, immersive game, but you could definitely write a short tutorial on how to play it, as it took me a while to understand some of the mechanics.

Good to hear, you could help me decide what the next asset pack should be about.
