I see! What seems to have been happening was that you must be incrementing the value for the smell creeping in every frame, and since it was running at 144Hz it was happening too fast for me to make it through. Once I changed my display to 60Hz, it worked as you described.

Timing can be tricky! For this kind of thing you'd want to either increment the values on a physics timestep (if Godot has something like Unity's "FixedUpdate" function), or save the time when the transition started and compare the current time to that (divide by length of transition and cap the value at 1 to get a 0-to-1 value). Hope that helps a bit, keep up the good work!

Neat little game, really liked the artwork for the character especially! Could quite figure out what I was doing wrong in level 3, but overall I definitely like your interpretation of the theme.

Neat little idea, obviously not the most polished execution but it's a great effort for a 48 hour jam! I liked what you were going for with the music as well.

Thanks! I definitely have some ideas, so we'll see!

Thank you! It was pretty crazy making a game like this within the time limit. Glad the game offered a bit of a challenge! :D

Nice entry! It's a classic concept, but it really works well with the theme, and I think the execution was great for a 48 hour jam. Lots of quirky charm which is always great to see!

An interesting experience!

Enjoyed the atmosphere of the game, and with some effort, I made it through all seven levels. I initially found myself clicking buttons randomly, but as I progressed I eventually figured out what I was supposed to be doing.

The connection to the theme is a bit abstract, but I get what you were going for and I think it turned out pretty good.

Thanks, will do!

Thanks! The bassline was the first thing I heard in my head when sketching out some ideas for the game, and creating a basic version of the theme early on in the jam really helped to inspire the quirky character of the game as a whole.

Thank you! It was pretty crazy trying to make something like this solo in 48 hours, but I'm glad it worked out. :D

Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoyed it! A fast-forward option of sorts has been a widely requested feature, and it definitely seems fitting.

Thank you, it's great to hear that!

For sure, I'll be sure to check it out as soon as possible!

Glad you had fun playing! I knew somebody would really enjoy seeing that, it was a little idea I had as I was preparing to submit the game. :D

Thank you, I'm glad you to hear you liked it! The puzzles took a significant amount of effort to get done in time, but it seems to have paid off.

Thanks, that's great to hear!

Thank you for the encouraging words, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the in-depth feedback, I definitely agree that progress-saving (and maybe even a level-select screen) could be a good addition to the game, especially if it were any longer.

That's very nice of you! :D

Thanks, glad you like it! I definitely see what you mean about the part where you have to wait around, and that's where something like a "fast-forward" button could help in a post-jam version of the game.

Thank you! I was initially worried about the idea being too simple since I'm sure many other people had the same idea, but I decided to just run with it and see what I could do.

Really glad you liked the game, thank you! Making something like this solo in 2 days was crazy, and I'm happy it seems to have worked out alright. :D

Thanks, glad you had fun!

Thank you, I really tried my best to make it feel like a proper game! :D

Thank you so much, I appreciate that! Glad you really liked it.

Great to hear! I'm glad you had fun, it was a great challenge to make something like this in two days. :D

Thank you, I appreciate that! I put a lot of effort into the visuals especially, good to hear positive feedback.

Thanks, I really appreciate the positive feedback! Glad you had fun. :D

Thanks for playing! A fast-forward option definitely feels appropriate to when you're waiting to get where you need to go.

Thank you! :)

Thank you!

Thank you! That's awesome to hear. :D

Good to hear, thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it! My brother had also suggested an option to "fast-forward", but I didn't end up having time to add something along those lines.

Just me! Worked solo on the programming, art, music, levels, etc.

Thank you—that would be pretty awesome to see! :D

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! :D

Thank you, that's good to hear!

Thank you! I was initially worried the idea might be too simple, but it seems like it worked out.

Hey, glad you like it! Really tried to have fun with the animation. :D
