All CSGC 2022 Exhibitors and Competitors will be able to exhibit their game, art, or products during our CSGC 2022 Exhibitor Hall, which opens at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 16, To help ensure you have the best exhibition experience here are some "need to knows" for exhibiting.
If you have never exhibited at CSGC or exhibited at all, here are a few tips to help make your booth stand out among the rest.
Don't expect everyone to come by your booth just because. Use Large signage to attract their attention and entice them to your booth. Poster boards are a good way to create simple signs. If you plan to exhibit frequently at other events, you might consider getting a professional banner printed.
Before making your way to the exhibit make sure that the hardware you are planning to use is working and will be capable of running whatever it is you plan to demo at the event. If you are displaying art, you may not want to have just a static display, instead, a rotating slideshow of the work can make the display more interactive and interesting. For exhibitors who are selling products, make sure that you have a good variety of items, and that you have a method for excepting digital purchases, not everyone will have cash on hand.
Incorporate your theme into the exhibition, if you are exhibiting a game set in medieval times, you might consider placing props like a knight's helmet or such on the booth table. In the past, we've even had exhibitors/competitors dress up to match the theme of their exhibition.
Variety is the contrast of elements while repetition is all about repeating items. These design principles can be applied to everything about your booth. Repeat elements that are consistent with your exhibition, this can be color, fonts, icons, or popular products. Include a sprinkling of variety, by adding contrasting elements here and there to create interest.
This year's theme of CSGC is connected, and we want everyone exhibiting to connect with our attendees. Be sure to have a friendly welcoming smile while maintaining your booth. Do not be afraid of coaxing attendees over to your booth, or even standing on the outside of your booth space to chat with attendees and share more about your exhibition.
Below are some images of past exhibition booths to give you a bit of inspiration and ideas.
