[The Game]
Hello to all pixel artists out there! I am working on a platformer game where the player's emotions have special abilities. It is a passion project that I will maybe post on itch.io or steam. I am pretty much done the prototype, and now I need art for the game. The problem is, I am not good at pixel art nor drawing people. That's where you come in. I have decided to come here for help. You could also help by animating the character (the parts you need to animate are in the description). I did try making the character on my own, but it didn't turn out that great. The character is an African American 11-year-old girl. Their name is Jemmie. Jemmie wears a purple shirt, blue jeans, and yellow shoes. Jemmie's hair is dark brown, and she is short. The art style is supposed to be expressive. It is supposed to have the cartoonish-ness of Pizza Tower, but the cuteness of the icons in Celeste. If you want to animate, you'd have to animate Jemmie walking, jumping, falling, riding a cloud, being happy, doing the "Imagination" rainbow from SpongeBob, crying, being angry, punching, and standing idle. It might be a handful, so you don't have to do all of them, but it could really help out. By the way, if you wanted to see my version of Jemmie (that isn't that good), then here it is:
