Hornwart is over towards the manor, Kernel is from exploring (but it took me a loooooong long long long time to get it), BC is going back to talk to a quest npc there.

I have Abzi, and I'm tempted to use him, but he and Lucifur have the same problem of being all fire-based when the Hard level enemies are resistant. That, and Abzi is just extreeemely not my type lmao. I think I got Carlos but haven't leveled him, didn't feel like he offered enough to be worth all that time/effort.

Medium boss rush is definitely helping I think, still feels like I'm climbing a cliff but now making actual progress again. I guess that's kind of how the progress goes here? Up up up, wall, up up up, wall... It can work.

Oh excellent, yeah I'll give that a shot! Current comp is Orc BJ, Ferdag, Orc Dancer, and Lucifer, so my AoE is pretty trash.

If those status effects would either not hit the entire player group, and/or didn't last so long, they'd feel a whole lot better imo, but then again I'm now stuck on the transition from medium to hard fights due to the raw number jump lol

Yeah, the ruby changes feel really good, they do a lot to make the game feel more like you're working towards achievable things rather than the prior slowness. Thirst and Stage Fright feel too stifling though, especially because they're on group hits and last for several turns. I kinda feel like I -must- use Last Dance with Orc Dancer to start and control every fight, or else risk being Thirst/SF'ed into submission. (Granted, that tactic -does- work.)

Unfortunately the rate of progression just didn't quite work for me, felt like I was replaying levels for ages, but it all worked bug-free and there were plenty of cuties. If this weren't a "one and done" project, I'd give thoughts on what to improve, but as it stands it certainly kept me interested for an afternoon!

Edit: Oh nevermind, I just saw the post about the balance update, I'll revisit and see how it feels

I was definitely sitting here looking forward to the clones and sequels after hearing how the code base has issues, but if y'all are going whole hog on this then I support that 100%! Super glad that this game took off for ya, and I hope the work proceeds smoothly and effectively!

Yeah, I saw his name in the credits and visited his soundcloud. Definitely figured it was a case like that, of working from a compiled collection, because yeah, when you're already doing game design and level editing and encounter balancing, doing music on TOP of that would be WAY too much. Thanks for the response!
