Hello! I am leader of Pokemon Verdigris (discussed in great detail here):

We are looking for RPGMaker mappers, pixel artists and spriters to make tiles, and/or help sprite some fan-made Pokemon and characters. UI and menu stuff would also be helpful but really as long as you have good experience with spriting/pixel art stuff and can show some of your work, you should be able to join the project and help out. Because it is a fangame, we are all volunteering and contributing to the game in our free time, so we all do the work for free. Just a fun passion project if you will!

By the way, the maps are not all custom tiles by us haha, many are public resources. We will just need some custom tiles every once in awhile.

Update 2!

We’ve been making steady progress and just wanted to let everyone know we’re still looking for pixel artists, spriters and people experienced with RPGMaker mapping of any kind! We got a lot of maps to make but also lots of custom Pokemon and characters to sprite as well,  so let us know if you’re interested on our fan server!

Update!

Still on the lookout for pixel artists and spriters to help us sprite more Pokémon within our dex and make lots of map tiles within RPG MakerXP. UI design would also be a huge benefit from this as well.

As another reminder, we are all volunteers and cannot pay due to this being a fangame, all of us including myself are volunteering for this since this is a passion project.

Please let us know if you’re interested in this project and hit me up on discord or our fanserver! I know there’s lots of artists and other developers looking for a vast project like this, and we need all the help we can keep moving forward!

Hello! I am CypCyp77, one of the lead developers of Pokémon Verdigris, a fangame our team has been working on for a few years now! We wanted to try our luck with the itch.io community to see if any willing participants would want to help us with these specific instances in our game since we've prepared:

• Spriters and Pixel Artists
• Mappers or Tileset Makers (goes hand in hand with pixel artists but the more help the merrier)
  
• Programmers experienced with Ruby or know Pokemon Essentials
• Experienced Eventers in RPG Maker
• Composers & Digital Artists (not as important but nice nonetheless)

The top three are the most important roles we need, and we're also figuring out stuff ourselves.

We know this is a lot but because this is a fangame, we cannot pay anyone and are just volunteering our time and efforts to make something cool! Last thing to note is that pretty much all our pokemon designs have been picked out finalizeed, so there will not be a ton of room to add many more people's design ideas. All good if you can't join cuz of that but if that sounds cool to you, let us know and join the discord!!! Basic info about the game is down below, and below that is relevant images of our game!

Synopsis:
The story told in Pokémon Verdigris takes place in the region of Fusis, a inspired by the real-life country, Greece.
It follows the adventures of Lios/Akara, as they complete their Pokémon journey after choosing Kiweaf, Flaigos or Snessel to help them. With the help of Thea, a distant heir of the fabled Ancient Hero that once saved the region, you're adventure seems to go well. But- something seems off... some suspicious organization, the Archeo Site is digging up Fusis' dark past. As you try to take them down, the archeological detective, Wendell, stays persistent, aiming to put a stop to you and Thea getting in the way of their plans. Will you be able to defeat the looming darkness that threatens the Fusis region?

Features:
In Pokémon Verdigris you will be able to find over 150 new Pokémon and over 30 regional variants, some of which have never-before seen evolutions! We also have:
-The Sound-type!
-New moves & abilities (As well as move edits)
-A new weather, Wind, has been added
-PSS style icons to give a connection to important characters
-New OST in the HGSS/BW style
-A brand new mechanic to encounter rare Pokémon is in the works: Altars!

It sounds a BIT dramatic haha, but it really is a very standard and exciting Pokémon story, that most will enjoy. We have a few new aspects to our game, but we ultimately want to make a game that fits in pretty seamlessly with other Pokemon games or well recieved fangames.  Nothing too edgy or crazy :)
