I've been looking at the comments and everytime someone mentions crashes they just say "lower graphics", or "your pc isn't good enough", with a few "compatibility issues".

But like wtf, i'm running
RTX 3060
Ryzen 7 3700x
32gb ram
runs cyberpunk, red dead redemption, no man sky, etc etc whatever perfectly fine, but this game is too demanding? perhaps focus on optimizing the game since these comments i've been reading go back like 10 months probably more

EDIT: on "very low" setting and lowest resolution it still crashes

i'm pretty sure they meant 0.1.7 as in the free version, the site you linked is most likely a pirate site given that it doesn't link to official download link, 0.1.8 as far as i know will only be released to patreon supporters
