There is a game on steam called parasite infection that might have some good inspiration as well

Eggs and permanent / temporary body part size changes along with overall body shape. Maybe with a morph pod or something.

Also a possible control method for summoned or created tentacles and/or a snowball affect with possible downsides like government attention.
