Sounds good! If you ever need testing and feedback or a composer reach out!

Just finished the game and I have some feedback for you!

-The story was good and well executed, although I would have liked more of it. Are you planning a sequel?

-The breathing of our character was downright annoying, it would have made more of an impact if it kicked in only certain moments / was more scarce.

-Music was awesome and sound like it fit the game! Although I would have liked something very ambient and quiet in the background while looking for the pages (something I would be willing to help with as a composer)

-I was not a fan of the text at the top, having it near (but not at) the bottom felt like it would have been ideal. Having it at the top felt distracting and that was the same spot to open the text which was weird.

-Clicking at the top of the screen to open the folder of text didn't feel natural. Maybe you could have something that wouldn't be immersion breaking to open the text? Maybe a small icon somewhere or even up on the arrow key since it doesn't get used.

These are just a few things that stood out as I was playing, overall I enjoyed my experience, it made me want more. Hope to see more from you!

This is really cool! I love Hylics and I can see the influence. A few notes for you:

-There are multiple spelling and grammar mistakes

-Some models were blocked by text boxes

-The text in the battle text box didn't stand out well making it hard to read

-There was a noticeable lack of songs here (something I would be willing to help you with being a composer)

Even though it sounds like I'm being negative with everything mentioned above I actually enjoyed your game and there is a lot of room to grow here and expand on this idea. Congrats on the clay models too that is so awesome you did that I love sculpting as well but never have time for it. Thank you for sharing this and I hope to see more!

No problem, if you ever need music or play testing + feedback on other games I'm here for you!

A game that is good and almost great.

I enjoyed the story and the graphics / environment a lot! I wish there was more stuff going on though and objects to interact with. (would be cool to have seen the NPCs in the distance peeking around the trees watching the player etc.) The music was suiting although lacked variety (something I'm always willing to help with as a composer) and I could hear when the song popped to signify the audio loop repeating. The audio from the NPCs was clipping too and the high pitched audio from picking up the stones ruptured my eardrums.

Although it sounds like I'm being negative about the game these are all just things I noticed to hopefully help you. Despite everything I mentioned above I enjoyed my experience 👍 (the meta story telling was fantastic)

Even though this game is not for me I still found the roughly hour I had with it enjoyable. Very cool world and concept and I could see how you could expand on what you have now. I did notice some of the audio transients to be very sharp and almost clipping at some parts (not sure if that was intentional) and I liked the music although I wish it was more alive with a bigger variety. Cool game and I can tell you are talented. 👍

Happy to help! If you ever need a play tester or a composer for your future games please reach out I would be more than happy to help!

Just played the demo and left you LENGTHY feedback about the game via the feedback form at the demo menu. I really enjoyed the demo but had a lot to say about feedback. I especially loved the plot here, you kept it short and sweet and gave it a good amount of depth and intrigue. As someone with a short attention span this held my attention so congrats on that. I hope you read my feedback though I had a lot of suggestions to hopefully just make your game better. Followed you on here, gave you a follow on Twitter, and gave you a 5 star rating.👍

I loved this (437) very cool idea good aesthetic and controlled good. Would absolutely love to see this into a full game. Needed more songs but understandable since it was a GameJam game!

This game is awesome. I gave up on the last level. There is nuance to it and its not BS hard. That song really got annoying though would have loved to hear other songs. Really solid for a quick GameJam game well done.

This was very enjoyable! Given the time constraint of 48 hours there is not much I would change aside from the obvious (more levels, variety, etc.) Peachy did great with the song that plays it fit the theme I just wish it was more than that one song. If you ever need music composed just let me know and I would be more than happy to help! I love the N64 aesthetic so much. Also I would volunteer if you ever need a play tester. Overall great job! I could see this being a full game.

Wow this was a real treat I have many thoughts about this.

- The aesthetic impacts the player immediately, the N64 graphics and textures (my fav console) blasted with me nostalgia. Even the color palate with the gentle blues and floating islands complimented the feel.

- The music was serene but I wanted / needed more of it. This could be said about location variety as well. Maybe some objects in the far distance? Or maybe islands with inhabitants?

- The gameplay loop was enjoyable, I really liked going for the big drops from a mile high. I had the thought, "this would be cool if I could customize my craft / character etc."

To end my thoughts this game was very enjoyable and I hope you expand on it. For someone who doesn't have a lot of expendable income this is a game I would even be willing to pay for with improvements. If you ever need custom music I would be more than willing to help you! If you ever need a play tester I would volunteer for that as well. Thank you for sharing this and you have earned a follow from me.

BTW my score ended at 8.

I didn't realize it was intentionally frustrating! That makes more sense. I think it could be a fantastic game with more polish, I mentioned the art previously and that + the premise made me want to dive into the game. If you ever want more play testing from me further along or if you want custom music for your game please don't hesitate to reach out! 👍

I wanted to give this game a fair shot but the jump mechanic frustrated me too much. I would implement a way to give the player more control with their jumps, maybe an indicator of where the player will land while holding down the jump key? Art was really cool too.

Count me in! 👍

Beat all the playable levels and here are my thoughts.

- The minimal aesthetic is very beautiful and appealing, I wanted to stay in the world longer and see / learn more about it.

- The fox handles good not amazing, I bonked a few too many times and pushing the block with excessive pressure was a little frustrating. (maybe implement a slower mechanic to move the block? Maybe the fox grabs it with his mouth or something?) I could see you polishing this up though as the game moves along.

- The pacing was great, I was introduced to the mechanic easily enough and you built upon it well.

- Audio was a standout issue, the song you have playing is beautiful but you need more than just that one song (something I myself would be happy to help you with, as a composer.)

To wrap it up I enjoyed my quick play of the game and I could easily see it becoming a full game. Some story development or world building would be awesome to see. Reach out to me if you ever need help or want me to check out some of your other games and good luck!
