I like the music, and the color of the tree.
Hope you're doing well Manic!
I really appreciate your input Manic! I agree, the music doesn't really fit, I rushed to make something very quickly right before the deadline and had a hard time getting that underwater vibe I was looking for. Creating beautiful music is something I want to improve at.
I was excited about this project so I continued to work on it after the submission deadline, so hopefully the bug that you encountered won't be in the game once I update it after the jam voting period ends.
Hope things are going well on your end, keep following those game dev dreams!
You actually eat the little blue guys that float past you in the background, giving you an infinite supply of fish to eat.
I spent a lot of time on easter eggs, and small details people aren't likely to notice which meant I ended up running out of time for making a clear in game explanation for how the mechanics worked. (The easter eggs only work in the Two-Player mode which requires that you have a game controller plugged into your computer and use it to move before you press on the keyboard. It's my first time making a multiplayer split screen game, so it turned out a little buggy.
Thanks for taking the time to review so many people's games and being so nice about it. Hope you've enjoyed the game jam!
Hey Manic, thanks man! I really appreciate it. I hope you've been doing well. I've got a bigger project that I'm working on right now, but I wanted to polish this up just a little bit because I was going to throw it on my resume as I look for some work.
Hope you're still working on stuff when you have the time. You're great! :D
So I liked the game, nothing satisfied quite like a 2D platformer, and your level designs are good! You used the 1-bit theme of the jam to come up with some creative obstacles to overcome.
I don't like that there isn't a victory screen or indicator once you've beat the 5th level. It just looped back to the first level and it took me a moment to realize that I'd already beaten that. Anyways, good game and good luck on your future projects!
