Yo, indeed, the problem was the emulator's drive emulation.
The easiest way to fix it is to just rename the game's d64 filename
from "The Pretzelves.d64" to "The Pretzelves_AD.d64".
The _AD appendix forces the emu to use Accurate Drive emulation.
Cheers!

Looks great and just bought it, but unfortunately it won't run on my TheC64. Just some message "please turn your drive on and load again", which doesn't make too much sense IMO. Any ideas? Thanks!
EDIT: just rename "The Pretzelves.d64" to "The Pretzelves_AD.d64" and it will work flawlessly on TheC64 :-)
Hi Matt!
Just wanted to let you know that I'm using some of your great assets in the first true bullet hell shmup for stock unexpanded Amiga 1200 machines (14 MHz, 2 MB RAM, from 1992) :)
Had to adjust the explosions for 3 colors and the player ships for 15 colors where only 4 of those are actually not shared with the explosions and the 2nd player - yeah, pretty tough restrictions on that antique machine :)
Of course you're being credited.

Yo mate, this is Daytona675x and I bought your great NES soccer sprite sheet quite a while ago when I started my Amiga soccer game project. For my needs I had to edit it a bit, mostly to get rid of the black outline; in my game the sprites are zoomed and the outline didn't work too well in that special case :)
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you and tell you that I put you into the credits, of course.
It's still wip but getting close to be finished, if you want to take a look:
