I have improved this in the new update. Now you can set the opacity of the dialog box in the preferences tab.

The problem proved to be more anoying than I first assumed.

Odd, I just tested it. Did you put patch into UndyingWill-0.02-pc\game folder? If you did it should work fine, if you start new game. I noticed some isssues though, if you load a game after putting the patch it may not work properly.

Although if the overall reception will be similar to yours, I might reconsider turning the game into a sandbox.

I understand that many sandbox VNs are essentially a grindfest, but my idea for one was to access a character's story with no requirements beyond completing the previous event. In the sandbox part, you could do repetitive things 'unlocked' in the storyline, such as petting a cat girl and so on.
