I’m sorry for the trouble! I’m not able to see the problem, downloads seem to be working for me. Could you please contact Itch.io support? They might be able to help more.

No worries! No way you could have known. And I appreciate the question - optimization is very important!

You’re the first to mention it!

Hello! Sorry, but it's probably not well-optimized. I did a lot of work to optimize as much as I could, but to be honest, I'm a self-taught game developer, and this is still just my 3rd try at making a game. I don't have much optimization experience or skills myself - and since people only pay if they want to, I definitely can't afford to hire an optimizer.

Hello! Yes, I should finish everything this weekend, so I expect to release early next week.

Glad I could help! At current, I don’t have a way to make it easier to see, but I have one more update coming out in about a week that has a “dark mode” for the ending which should help.

Hi! There's something like that already in the game! If you complete all the endings, it unlocks a "sandbox" mode, where you can freely change all the body morphs. See this post for an ending walkthrough: https://desidee.itch.io/changing-time-vr/devlog/754383/ending-list

That's awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing the end screen too, it's really cool to see the different states people end with!

I believe so, the game uses OpenXR which I think is also used by Oculus. However, I don't have one to test with so I can't guarantee it. If you try, please let us know how it goes.

I wanted to emulate the cinematic camera style of old 90s horror games like Resident Evil and Alone in the Dark - but it’s definitely a divisive choice! Not sure it will help, but there are alternate control options in the settings which don’t change with the camera angle.

That's a great idea. Not sure where to host (since it's nsfw) but I'll look around! Thanks!

Thank you so much! Really glad you like it! I am working on another game in this style, but still only in the pre-production stage - still a long ways to go.

I'm looking around for a solution, but not having much luck. Will message you back here if I find anything though!

Hmm...can you still move around? (i.e. with WASD?)

Usually just double-clicking the .exe file should open both Steam VR and the game. Were there any errors when you tried to open?

Thank you for playing!

There's no secret or anything you're missing. You just need to get past the ghosts in the room. You are faster than them, so if you can get one to follow you, you can run around it to pass the room. Alternatively, if the ghost "kills" you, when you wake back up, you'll have a few moments of invincibility and can run out of the room that way. Good luck!

Sadly outside of scope and ability, but thank you for the interest regardless.

Hello! Sorry, but this game does not support mobile (that's unfortunately beyond my technical ability for now

).

Thank you! I'll look into it!

Sorry to hear that, could you please give me a little more detail? Is the mouse not moving or not visible? Click not working? Clicking, but game doesn’t respond?

Thank you! Next ones are already in production!

Hello! That was made in Unreal 5.2.

Thank you!! There was definitely a learning curve, I’m really glad that nobody can see the programming in here, it’s embarrassing, lol.

For your question: Unfortunately no, there’s only one ending in this one.

Actually BE is the most extensive change available. If you’re facing the mirror, the column to the back left does BE (look for the large breasts image when the columns are lit up). Use the gems on this one as many times as possible for BE. :)

Still working on the opening stages, so it’s still a little fuzzy.

Thank you for these examples and the comment. I'll take a look at what I can clean up in a future release (I should be able to fix the sand dune bit). But to be honest, a lot of the more advanced mesh/physics interaction is probably beyond my ability at this point. Who knows what future projects will hold though :)

Side note: I saved and removed the second two example posts so they don't take up too much room in the comments.

I just noticed this too yesterday! You're the first to mention it though, so thank you! On the list to fix!

Thank you! Planning on it!

Sure thing! The locations of the tablets are:
1. Nefer - on the ground next to the central pyramid altar. Left side.
2. Scarab - In the broken pot on the left side of the mirror
3. Tyet - In the unbroken pot on the right side of the mirror (break with a rock)
4. Ouroboros - In the pot up on the ledge on the right side wall of the room (break with a rock)

Edit: if you'd like hints for the endings, please see this post here: https://desidee.itch.io/changing-time-vr/devlog/754383/ending-list

Thank you for this feedback, and totally awesome that you found your own solution! I didn't realize how necessary a windowed mode might be, will look into adding it in a future release.

On the right side of the room (as you're facing the mirror), there's a pot placed up on a ledge, the circle ("Ouroboros") tablet is in there. Grab a rock and throw it at this pot to break it. :)

Thank you! Yes, it's donation based, so you can give whatever you like - even if that's $0.

Great tip, thank you!!! Also on the list to fix!

Ah crap, that was a debugging key I accidentally left in, sorry! That's the only one, will remove in the next version.

Don't stress, that's by far the hardest puzzle, and it's bonus content, not required for the basic endings.

Hint: The buttons are arranged in columns, and you need to push the right one in each column. The key for which button is in plain sight around the room.

Spoiler: If you'd like the answer, check out the ending guide post here: https://desidee.itch.io/changing-time-vr/devlog/754383/ending-list

Thank you for the question HitachiZero - and for the answer Gumshoo! Here's a link in case it helps: https://desidee.itch.io/changing-time-vr/devlog/754383/ending-list

Thank you for letting me know! I think I've found the problem and should have an updated version out in a few days.

Awww, that is so sweet! Thank you so much for the kind words!

On the right side of the room (as you're facing the mirror), there's a pot placed up on a ledge, the circle ("Ouroboros") tablet is in there. Grab a rock and throw it at this pot to break it.

Thanks for pointing out the black screen bug. I think I know what's causing this and will fix it in the next update. Thank you!

Thank you thank you for the feedback! I'll definitely look to fix these for the next release, these are great comments!

FWIW, I totally agree on the reset button. It's actually already there in the code, but I had strange crashing problems when packaging, so I cut it out for this release.
