If I am interpreting this correctly, no, I played Narrow One when it first came out, the week it came out, when they only had a few bows to choose from and very little cosmetics. I asked for swords a LOT, and glad to see they finally got added after all this time, though not as recently as I thought, seeing the update was in 2023.
An amazing sequel to the series, (Please make a third), the environmental interactables are done well (like the Anomaly holding cells), very immersive for a 2D Side-scroller pixelated game, sound is done amazingly, character voices are done so well.
I do like that we get to see more on Specter's personality, especially at the end, when he shoves the medic, and then we get to see he is very well respected, when the other Foundation members salute you as you board the Heli at the end.
I would love some more lore on the "fodder" type soldiers of Specter's Organization/Foundation, and maybe even get to play through the eyes of one in the future.
Also, small note, but the gun nerd in me is just wondering why the AK, since they seem to be an American or European based group, yet they use Russian weapons...
(Also, was the weapon mentioned in the terminal, with infinite ammunition or whatever, a reference to the weapon you use in the first game, when you had infinite ammo and no need (or way) to reload? It's probably not, but a cool little nod to it if it is. Also, would love some more lore on the Tau type personnel lmao)
Love the art style, reminds me of games like NIKKE and such, also loved the combat system, both the ranged and melee system and how they rely on each other.
