I am a bit lost as to how we get assigned a theme.
The web seminar link is just a image background in a video with no audio.
Do we get assigned a theme when the jam starts or do we chose a theme from a possible future tech and run with possibilities of how it may affect the world in the future?

That's something good to know , unfortunately i didn't have anyone to test it or let me know if the time was long enough. (apart from myself, but i am just 1 person haha)
But glad you tried it , and i would like to look into adjusting the time per coin or adding more coin locations (maybe they respawn after 1minute as well?)

You could make it more varied (not just the roads) , i'm not sure how the editor you use works , but different quotes and sayings based on how many roads you have traveled or after passing a certain point , different enemies or how they act , it is fun but the repetitiveness is what lets it down. (i understand it was made in 10 days so i'm not bashing you , it was a good effort)

As to whether you continue it , that's solely based on what you wish to do and what you want to gain out of it. (make a bit of $ , or gain some recognition for a fun indie game etc)

What i did for my project was add all files to a zip archive (with winrar) then chose upload files, and set it to game executable from the drop down - yes even though it was a zip file.
If you did that too , then i'm not sure , maybe internet interruption somehow? but sorry that happened to you

5minutes of somewhat fun playing.
Requires decent co-ordination, keep the spotlight on the butterfly with keyboard keys and use mouse to smack spiders, original concept (as far as i'm aware) but seriously lacking depth and polish.

A bit of fun for 5 minutes or so, definitely retro style from an older period in gaming history. (i would guess late 80's early 90's)
Decent implementation of the mechanic , it is fun , but it gets really repetitive quickly - same background , same cacti and rocks, same quotes said over and over , outposts or areas say similar or the same thing as each other.
After travelling 12 roads and nothing changing , all i can say is for my experience: the first road travelled is the same as the 2nd road travelled , and the 3rd and the 4th and so on.

Cool concept, really wanted to play and i bet it was fun , but unfortunately due to uploading issues there was no file available on the page after the Jam ended.

There is no file available , so unable to test :(

after i uploaded mine i had to then go back to the submission page and choose it from a drop down list *shrug*

Edit: to elaborate , i chose submit , created the page , uploaded , then went back to submissions and had to choose the page i created

Ughh it would have been nice if this was said on the game jam website seeing as it specifically says "you have 1 month to deliver an hour long game" ... that totally changes everything for me :'(

Don't worry i just had to make it public hehe and choose it from the submission list o/ woop woop

Hey my project was over the 1gb size so i had to push it using the butler tool, but it isn't showing up on the submissions?
