Why limit the name to 8 characters? That's so frustrating.

First off, I really enjoyed the first chapter. my heart sank when it ended. I really wanted to push on! The game is beautiful and the story started sucking me in, I was excited to start learning magic and finding stuff to craft that greatsword.
In the giant spider boss fight, I jumped over the spider and then it just kept walking into the left wall, never turned around or attacked again, or even stopped walking. just kept trying to proceed into the left wall. I stood behind it and kept attacking. Then after it was already dead but hadn't left the screen yet, attacking it still showed the red flash damage animation.
also, many screen transitions refill your health. I assume that's not intentional because it makes all those healing items less useful outside of boss fights.
The mechanic where you can't attack ghosts in the shadows in interesting, but It wasn't obvious at first, I could see a lot of people really struggling with that in the Harriet boss fight, though that could be intentionally difficult and I have no qualms with that.
Overall really impressed with the quality and experience. Looking forward to playing the actual game
