I'm the sound guy in our group and I wanna say thank you for appreciating the music in the game. I'm glad you found it nice considering how the game is designed to make you hate it. Having volume options would be really useful but I have no idea how to make them yet, I'll make sure my next games have this feature though. Thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing!
This is really great, I love the fact that you can play as a cat. Kidding aside, this could really pass off as a commercial game on steam with its very innovative recording mechanic. Great aesthetic and sound, I really felt immersed in the game, with some subtitles this game would really feel like an interactive piece of film. This made for a really wonderful experience, looking forward to what y'all make in the future!
This is such a hidden gem among the other game jam games! This is by far the most unique take on the theme and I love it. From the presentation to the relaxing sound design, this game has lots of potential to become a hit mobile game. The only criticism I have is the control scheme because I find myself clicking then scrolling up or down instead of pressing the 'R' and 'F' keys to adjust the vines. Nevertheless, this was a really impressive game and I thank you for this pleasant experience you molded for us. Congrats!
Thank you so much for the feedback! We are aware of that bug as we encountered it multiple times during play testing and we never really found a one-for-all fix for it so sorry for that. Regardless, thank you for playing the game despite its difficulty! I'm afraid we can't send our project file since it was a Unity Collab project but I guarantee you, we didn't do anything that can't be found on YouTube Unity Tutorials :)
Since it was for a game jam, we thought we wanted to immediately bring the idea across that this was in fact a difficult game. Nevertheless, thank you so much for playing! We're so happy to here that alot of people are enjoying the presentation of the game with the graphics and sound. we hope you have a great day ahead!
I wanna say thanks for trying to finish the game before leaving a rating! Most people don't have the patience to even leave the first area and they suddenly leave salty comments about the movement mechanics LOL We are happy to hear all the things you said here because you mentioned almost every source of inspiration we had. From Getting Over It to Toy Story, we're glad to see that our ideas were clear to at least a few people like you so, thank you so much for playing!
For this game, we wanted the difficulty to be the charm of the game so it would come naturally for the game to have a frustratingly punishing movement mechanic similar to the gameplay of Getting Over It or Jump King, our two main inspirations for the game. Despite your frustrations, we thank you for taking your time with the game and appreciating its visuals. Thank you Heizee!
Thank you for the honest and insightful feedback. I totally understand the frustration the game can make you feel, especially when all your progress gets taken away by one simple mistake. I agree that we should have worked more on polishing the movement mechanics as well as map design. The team appreciates the time you put into this and we hope you have great days ahead!
