Well… I just got my copy a few minutes ago.

The animations might be one of those things you just kind of get better at as time goes on.

I think, given you released at a “60%” completion state… one thing that may be pivotal in pushing sales is timely updates. If the animations guts your ability to do them… then they may cause more harm than good right now while you’re just trying to build some revenue. If you’ve never tried… maybe you could reach out to some peers who have done a similar thing regarding a steam release. They might be able to share your experience and some dos/donts. Some might see you as a competitor and not reach back out but I’d like to think there’s one or more who’ll be happy to share their experience.

You could also make animations a fun side project and kind of hold on to them. Work to finish the base game then do a “special edition”/gold release/remaster with a prologue and dump the animations in to get a big surge of sales after the game is over and maybe solidify it as a source of long term passive income. I know this is things that are likely still likely years away based on your current development schedule, which is where pushing your present output up might be beneficial. If you’re able to invest some sales into hardware that will meaningfully raise rending speed or something (I’m talking out my ass… as I’m no game designer) then maybe you’d get a real return on investment. I would imagine revision drops will have blips of increased sales. Off the top of my head, I think Shale Hill Secrets made it to steam this past year and wasn’t finished when it did… or maybe it was doing the free demo/paid full version model  either way, that might be a dev to drop a line to if it’s something that interests you. Even if your games aren’t the same… trying to learn the business sense of advertising and selling a AVN on steam is something maybe some of you devs can collaborate together on.

Anyways… great to see it make it. Best of luck to you getting over probably the same cold every other person seems to have… my household included.

Hey… this is awesome news. A few short months ago it sounds like steam wasn’t going to happen. Now it is? Thats *huge*.

I look forward to doing a purchase on there and leaving a review to drum up business.

I agree, animations aren’t the end all be all. I’m playing through Eternum right now w/my spouse as we missed the last 2 updates from our last playthrough a year or two ago and there’s little “Oooo… Ahhh” animations every hour or two of gameplay but they’re just scene setters and nothing related to sex scenes or anything like that that game is in my top 5 for writing. Without any animations I don’t think it’d affect that games appeal at all and it consistently rates high.

Harem Hotel does do animated sex scenes but they’re forgettable and most of that games appeal (to me) is in the world/character building as it’s progressed after a pretty lackluster porn-game start. It also rates high but is totally linear.

Your game, to me, is very unique in its character being able to be wildly bad, good or in between and how it affects a stretch of days. Many games are linear in how your actions affect things and while your settings are linear… how your actions affect people is wildly different. If animations don’t pan out, I wouldn’t be overly concerned. For me at least, animations or a lack there of was never a draw or turn off. Your divergent paths are what make it special, to me.

2025 will hopefully be a big year! Hope your 2024 is ending with a bang. 👍

This is a *solid* recommendation. 😂👍

I did manage to play through the first day and a half in a short session. I can see tons of incremental changes along since the year+ I last played. The sound is a nice addition and there so many little changes I think I caught between the environments… the bathing suit…. the alcohol choice… the dream sequence (the friend character being a little fleshed out with his own scene rather than just a throw away phone character to push narrative a little gives him a little more weight) were all nice touches. I did like the original dream sequence in some ways from a narrative perspective, but I think the new one is a net gain.

Anyways, in about 15 minutes of playing, it’s clear to see a lot of effort went in to the game, even from just looking at an early portion that was  just fine but are now just… “more”. I haven’t even approached the branches yet. It’s got to be a little wild “living” with these characters in your head both at their very best and very worst as you’ve slowly chipped away at it to bring it to its eventual conclusions… again, some good… and some very, very, bad. I hope you have a good therapist. 😂

It’s all very impressive though. Great job. 👍

Added to the wishlist on my 2 steam accounts. I hope everyone is doing the same. NaughtyCaptain, I’d encourage you to reach out to your fan base and maybe upload promotional material on whatever you can with an ask for them to add to their wishlists. I looked and didn’t see a video on YouTube. I’m not advertising-smart by any means, but I figure the more folks get to see the game and check it out, the better.

I paid for a couple earlier versions 2 years ago and a year ago and was stuck at the android-only and hadn’t checked it out in a good long while. I tested that same version with JoiPlay last night and the PC version works perfectly on android. I’ll be trying the most recent paid version this evening and catch up on what I’ve missed since my last play through a year ago. It remains one of the most redeeming/evil/soul crushing games I’ve played, depending on the path. I’d put it in the top 5 on this site.

I’m looking forward to being able to purchase it on Steam someday. Let’s make it happen folks. 4,000 wishlists are rookie numbers. If I read the dev log correctly, we need to crack 12,000.

Good luck, TNC. I’m rooting for you.

Snagging the update for a fiver! Looking forward to checking it out and the next update.  Best wishes.

Well, I donated my bit to get the latest version a few weeks back and played through a few different times over the last week. Very impressive piece of storytelling. My first play through was the bad ending that was a real gut punch.

Well done. I’ll be looking forward to future updates and any other projects you may take on.  I happened upon this site early this month and, while there are a few other good VNs amongst a bunch of so-so ones in various states of completion… this one is at the top of the heap to me. Best wishes.
