Really fun game! Rated it, but unfortunately the comments seem to be turned off on the Ludum Dare page?

Came back for the update, still a great game to plan. Loving the shout-out in the notebook :-D

I always say this, but yes, I do want to keep working on it.

Thanks, @Trapez. I always seem to have issues with the WebGL build here. If you click the "View submission" button at the top of this page, it'll take you to the Ludum Dare submission page where it's also embedded, and definitely works.

Another one in the "what went right" column: avoiding any mention of Thanos. Honestly, "delaying the inevitable" is like the whole plot of Avengers: Infinity War.

Thanks for the feedback. :-)

I did want a menu for defences that would show all available, but as new ones were getting added during development, I needed something that would be simple to add new defences to without having to go rework the UI every time. I think I've figured out a way to display up to six at a time, maybe put them into different categories.

Sniper towers might be a little OP :-D

Made some changes based on feedback from the Ludum Dare community and added v1.0.1 (Windows & Linux) to the downloads.

  • faster aiming
  • better rate of fire
  • wider camera angle
  • outlines on the enemies to help separate them from the background
  • bugfix: fixed the cursor in the game over/game won screens
  • bugfix: fixed some collider issues letting the player get caught on the scenery
  • increased the reticle size

I'm leaving 1.0.0 up, as this was the one originally submitted in the final minutes of the game jam.

Thanks for the comment, that's good to know!

Added a Linux build, but don't have the ability to test it :-)

Sorry folx, lots of people let me know the web build wasn't working so I've taken it down -- you'll have to use the Windows downloadable, which seems to work fine :-)
