yes

Nice!!!! Very polished.

Haha, no. BUT, you can make your own lore using the art in your game!

Thank you for using my asset pack! I’m glad you liked it. :)

You can play it in under one minute, isn't that the theme of the jam?

yep, after the jam I’m fixing the hit boxes!

thanks.

i’m going to fix the transition between inverting after the jam, if that makes it any better.

Thanks, I’ll have to check out the minor bugs and look into making a smoother transition between inverting colors (also might change the flash to black, I think it’d be easier on everyone’s eyes?).

Yeah, I’ve got that feedback multiple times already.. I’m not the greatest artist so I got assets from itch.io for my first jam. Next jam I hope to make all the art!

I’ll have to check your game out!

Thanks!

The game is fun, but it’s not very unique in any sort of way. It’s just pong with different assets and has been repeated many times before.. maybe some restrictions, or something like power ups the DVD can grab to make it harder to stop it from touching the sides? It has a lot of potential being that the DVD hitting the corner meme is so relevant.

good job!

yeah, I definitely rushed the core idea..

yep, I’ve said it in every comment and I’ll say it again:

definitely going to fix movement after the jam :)

Also, thanks!

yeah, I saw many more unique core concepts than mind, I’ll definitely try thinking outside of the box for the next jam I do!

thanks, i will!

thanks!

thanks, in other posts I’ve got the same thing and I’ve already said I’ll fix the issues after the voting period for the jam!

I’ll probably have a transition between the inverting, do you think that’ll make it better on your eyes?

I agree, and I heard this from another person too. In the game engine I use changing hit boxes are not a feature, but I could pretty easily add a parent object with a small hit box.

I didn’t really know what to do for the end, and literally an hour before the jam started I figured out itch.io has free assets, so I thought it’d be fun to try to use some. But I agree, the end assets don’t fit the game’s style at all!

thanks! I’ve already started thinking about ways to fix these issues. I was actually deciding whether or not to make floaty controls or not, which is odd because floaty = bad. Anyways, I’ll fix it after the jam as well as the other feedback you gave. Thanks for playing my game!

thanks Sans :)

oh, makes sense.

oh, I for sure though 30 seconds would be enough lol.

After voting I’ll update the game to have azerty controls too.

Am I supposed to be able to shoot as a demon? It won't let me, but I don't know if that was intended or not.

Grabbing keys is so difficult, and I see some layering issues with the tileset. Other than that, it's great!

The game freezes when I die.

thanks!

I don’t know what Unus Annus is, but cool..?

yeah, I was trying to decide whether or not to have the player move in the same direction in the air while jumping or when you let go of a or d you stop moving left or right in the air. I could’ve prevented the floatiness but I think it just makes the game more difficult overall, which I guess is good in some perspectives.

what do you mean by, the time got a very low number to start with?

Haha, yep!

This game was pretty fun to play! Most people are complaining about the transitions being slow but I find it fine.. The only annoying part was the music overlapping. Other than that, great job!

7.5/10

I finally submitted my game after a long time of stressing how to turn an embed code into an html to upload to itch.io.. But I got it!
