+1 Came here to ask the same thing.

Wow, so good! Thanks for ramping-up the difficulty slowly. I love shmups, but i’m terrible at them, so this is just the right level of fun without being crazy hard.

Please start working on more (paid) levels! 🙏🏻

Will this game be available as a PICO-8 cart at some point, for play on a handheld device?

Would you be willing to release the .P8 so I could play on a handheld device?

Does someone have a tiny hint for level 39? For some reason I can’t wrap my brain around it…

★★★★★ This game is fantastic! Especially so, considering it was done with pulp; the first “non-RPG” pulp game i’ve played. I love puzzle games you grasp immediately, but keep coming back to.

(Tiny note: there is a mis-spelled “foucs” in the initial instructions.)

Duh, of course, thanks for replying.

Is the channel still there? I’m not seeing it, I don’t think?

This is a lot of fun!

Minor suggestions:

  • show number of cards remaining
  • show current score on-screen during game
  • different game modes (more cards, timed, etc)

Thanks for making. Would you consider making the .p8 available to play on a hand-held device?

I can now open as a Mac app–thank-you!!

To prove the point that no good deed goes unpunished, a small request: The app opens full-screen, and can’t be resized, which isn’t great on a 27” monitor. Any chance you could allow app window to be resized?

When I try to run the Mac version (Monterey 12.2.1) I get an error message: “The application ‘Die in the Dungeon 1.4.1 (MAC)’ can’t be opened”.

(This is not the normal right-click-and-choose-open issue with unsigned apps.)

Anyone else getting an error?

This is amazing! Brings back so many memories and old school gaming vibes. Captures the spirit of the original game perfectly. Amazing and mind-blowing you did this in Pico8. Thanks so much for sharing your hard work with us.

Love the game, and the execution of the manual-- fantastic! Would you consider releasing a paid version of the pico8 (p8) version so it could be played on a handheld console?

Wow, awesome. Appreciate it, thanks.

I believe both work, although most of my games have .p8.png

thanks for the quick reply!

Any chance you'd consider selling a PICO-8 cart version? I'd love to play on my handheld (Anbernic RG351P).
